"Gamers" these days make me sick!

This has been bugging me for awhile so I'm just gonna put it out there. Reasonable people are going to read this and understand... others may not.

Fixing things in any game takes time. Time that most of today's player base is not willing to give. People complain and then expect the changes to come over night. Heaven forbid it takes several weeks for people to find solutions and write code to make the improvements needed to fix issues.

The REAL problem is with the players who log in and play everyday for 8-12 hours a days, blow the game apart and then start fires on the forums with the issues that need addressing are not fixed over night. Your like a bunch of old women who sit around complaining to each other until you all feel supported and justified about being outraged over issues of minor importance. Its just not reasonable to expect a company to produce game changing fixes at the rate at which people play an MMO.

There are issue, issues that are valid and will cause players to leave for legitimate reasons. However the time table between when a "no life" gamer expects things to happen and when a company can address and fix issues is vastly different.

If you played a couple hours a day (a couple is not 6-12 people) the unbelievable complaint fest that goes on here would die off quickly. Gaming wouldn't be your life and so the time it takes to address issues wouldn't be so game breaking for you.

However when basically ALL of your waking time is spent in one department you very quickly begin to place unreasonable importance on it, well above and beyond what is reasonable. I really despise what today's typical gamer has become. Bunch of whiny, "I want it now", brats of ALL ages that don't understand that if you play a game 8-10 hours a day for 2 months and then get bored that its... your fault.

Like paying 80 bucks for 500+ hours of entertainment somehow means you've been ripped off. Try doing that with any other form of entertainment and see how it works out. Hell, try doing that with most video games even!

You've gotten 2 months of new content, new friends, an amazing combat system, a interesting story line for those who took the time to pay attention to it and all the jokes hidden within, a beautiful world to explore, all the hype and excitement of a new game release and a lot more I could spell out and what do 90% of you have to say for yourselves?

Its not enough, "QQ I demand more" for my 15 bucks a month. I was able to experience everything they took YEARS to code... set up... test... produce... and design for the cost of what is basically one large pizza... and I'm so full of myself that I demand more.

Its not the game that needs fixing. Its the players...

I couldn´t agree more to anything that was posted in these forums yet.

It is people who complained back then about the lvl cap in the OBT, because they couldn´t already rush through to 60 within the OBT, people who are plaguing these forums an ruining the game´s image towards the people who might still be thinking about getting the game.

Demanding everything to be fixed and not allowing the developers to take the time they need to actually fix what needs to be fixed.

It very sad and totally true...

It is true that the new/next Generation of game players have been deleveoped into the
'Me me me me'ers, entitlementiess, or the spoon feed me-ers.

You can pretty much blame the way how some games are designed to be like this.
Wow is one of these games that made players into this. Its kind of sad too. =\

although i agree with some of this, i have a feeling you haven't reached level 60 yet. I took my time, i made alts and I'm leveling them all, but as a level 60 warrior tank that isn't allowed to tank, i'm a little upset. I have tanked FoK with guildies several times but i still have to wait 3 hours to queue for it. Warriors were supposed to be tanks from the start and EME still doesn't fix it. I am not expecting it over night, but its been 2 months already. They say they will fix it but why wait another month for something that was supposed to be implemented 2 months ago? Also, ENCHANTING!!! Mother of god, enchanting was being complained about since the first week of release and we still have no sign of eme even RECOGNIZING the situation. This is lazy work, considering 40% of the entire forum is talking about RNG being retarded.

Wait until you try to tank BT and notice that the 3rd boss, Magnus doesn't recognize you as a tank at all. And so, the aiming fireballs attack he throws which should target someone else than the tank, well, there's no lancer around, so there's no tank so let's target that puny warrior in leather instead.

I play "8-12 hour game days" and I don't feel entitled at all. I just enjoy the game for what it is, and look forward to the patches that the devs do talk about fixing. I also still don't see how people get to cap so quickly, as I've nearly been playing since launch everyday and am only at 50.

I guess I'm not one of those players, I play 8-14 hours a day and just got my 2nd 60 and been playing since OBT. I haven't even ran FoK or BT many times yet and I'm fine with Enchanting(I've failed many times).
I came to this game to get away from other MMOs like SWTOR(for example) that are so easy that you finish all the content within 2 weeks and get fully geared in 2 raids.
I prefer the game to feel like it takes forever, working towards a goal that means something, not one that ends within a month then you wait another two just for a new raid.

I've played many MMOs, sure this one needs tweaks here and there but overall is still enjoyable.

I have 2 level 60's, a sorc and a lancer. I have had my fair share of time at 60 with everything it has to offer.

I'd like to point to the fact that the player base was well aware that warriors could not queue as tanks due to the fact that they suffered from a lack of ability to tank compared to Lancers... based on player skill. The ANNOUCED this as part of the queue system that was implemented during open beta. As a player you just decided to assume that you as a warrior were going to get X and Y right away because you wanted it. So instead of seeing the game for what it was and the flaws in warriors being able to tank regularly you just assumed that you would get what you wanted and moved on.

The truth of that matter is those of us who took the time to learn about that game we were about to play knew that we would have to wait for QotA part 2 for those changes. Its the very reason I personally rolled a lancer over a warrior when warrior was my first choice. This is just another example of a player who cries foul when the game doesn't change fast enough for their personal liking. As for getting your requested change... I'm going to guess you have not noticed that they ALREADY announced warriors can queue as tanks in the next patch, based on player demand.

As for enchanting they already took steps to remove the possibility of items downgrading and the ability to lock in bonus when rerolling items. Both of which were not part of the original version of the game. Games take time to balance, other things take priority. Its the nature of any company.
