This is a great idea. Give players a reason to experience some of the more interesting content that appears later in the game and possibly even group up to do it.
I don't think you should mess with the story quest guy. If they put in an IoD BAM it should be completely optional. It could also help alts leave the Island because we already know how to use campfires/charms/bank/etc...
I don't see it happening.
- There's no where to put a BAM on the IoD
- It would mess other people up because players would pull the BAM into other players to grief
- They want people to get through IoD asap so they can get to Velika
I think Karascha is a nice taste to end the IoD experience.
If your going to add a BAM in anywhere it should be somewhere outside Velika. Along the west coast or up near that abandon tower.
All that unused space. A level 15ish BAM would be nice and a side quest to kill it so people know it's there. That way you can take people from the IoD and give them a taste of a BAM straight after IoD, when they first arrive in Velika, instead of having them level through 10 uneventful levels and claim TERA is another Aion.
You guys are crazy. You spend so little time in the first area and see your first bam at 10 or 11 for the dungeon? If you're friends can't stick it out that long or watch a video, that's sad.
I'd be ok with this, and to say a bam is a challenging fight is quite wrong imo you shouldn't be able to solo a "challenging" fight but I do think it would give people a better idea of the game, and what it's really like fighting the higher level mobs. This games just way too easy for me I really don't see my sub lasting too long unless the fun/wow factor is there because the rewarding difficulty factor is not
