TERA is awesome, i didnt think I would enjoy the combat so much. My beef is with the questing system. IT IS SOOOOOOOOO BORING.

I think it takes a certain level of genius to make quests that boring. If someone came to me and said "hey Mike, we need you to design quests in the most boring way that you can" I still dont think I would have been able to beat the level current snoozefest.

I think you can tell that quests were created by programmers and that EME did not hire professional writers (as they should have).

It is too late now to do anything about it. I just to vent for bit because I cant take this level of quest boringness for too long. Thanks for listening!

Edit: The WoW quests actually werent so bad. In BC and Cata the quests were actually pretty interesting and I always wanted to find out whats next. Even in WoW vanilla the quests were somewhat boring but not absolutely terrible. I definately enjoyed Westfall, Trisfar Glades, and some other areas in Vanilla. They all had an interesting theme in the very least.

Keyral you hit the nail right on the head. Everyone wanting to rush to max level and not have a period of time with no raid content or even dungeon content kills questing.

Questing is on par with games like WoW and Rift.

Combat > Questing

I wonder if you cried for years on MMO forums complaining about their combat.

Questing is overrated when it comes to MMOs. SWTOR had the best questing experience, does that matter?

End game is what counts. Not questing. You will quest for about 5% of the overall MMO experience.

I dont know why the MMO community still cries over quests of Kill X, gather Y. what else do you want?

Personally, I love these quests. The problem is, there arent enough of them. I loved questing in Outlands when I played WoW because you would gather up 10 quests, run in a circle completing EVERYTHING. Awesome! A lot of those quests were Kill X Gather Y quests, just like Tera, and I like it all the same here.

Id rather have Kill X, Gather Y all day long. Its a bit if grinding with quest objectives mixed in...so that you dont need to grind all day long.

Games like SWTOR(god forbid I mention that dreadful game, but they did this one thing right), and soon to be GW2 have a bit more exciting and engaging quests. But, your typical run of the mill MMO has quests like this. And they are not bad!

I have no issue with these types of quests. As long as the combat is fun, I dont care.

I luv these threads QQ ing about quests. What other mmo have you played where there are NO gather or go killx of these mob quests.If you awnser Swtor you are wrong,if you awnser Gw2 you are also wrong.
Every mmo has the same type of quests the diuffrence is how it is delivred to you so stop whining and play lol

If you're grinding quests as your primary means of exp then you're doing it wrong.
