Oldfart, it's not about bots because we knew there will be bots year before TERA launched in Korea. Then we saw first bots in Korea about one month after release.
This is about hacks being cheats that can be used by players.

People who makes bots can also make the hacks, where do you think hack comes from?

Yeah, figured wouldn't be long to see hacks. I am more worried about the no animation hacks, if you are fighting someone with it..well...good luck. No animation hacks will make PvE instances and PvP'ing a complete joke...just like in Aion.

Now, to say that there are no hacks for Tera is a lie. I have personally witnessed a number of bots on JP Tera that used speed hacks (it looked like they would blink half a screen away from you at a time, teleport on top of nearby mobs etc). To say there won't be hacks on the NA release is most likely wrong. Hack is not a Bot is not a Macro... only one of these is legit when used by somebody who is actually at the keyboard.

Hacks? No surprise people usually try to hack games. All I can say is EME Better be ready with that ban hammer, Ban Hammer ALL day.

I've seen the bots here already during the last beta. Teleportation is clearly an option, as I witnessed one group repeatedly appear out of thin air (with a sort of warping animation, and no character there previously), and then do a synchronized slow-walk towards a BAM and start facetanking it (even the healer). They kept dying in the end, and a short while later, would reappear in the exact same location, and do the exact same slow-walk. This was at least 200m from the nearest camp, port location.

Invincibility is clearly an option as well, or at least something approaching it, since another group (which had no healer), was just fine after five straight minutes of being jumped on by the two BAMs I dragged on to them.

I just really hope EME acts aggressively towards bots. If the no-tolerance message gets out early, word will get around, and a lot of less-determined people won't even consider trying it in the first place. One of those situations where an ounce of prevention can help prevent the need for a pound of cure.
