Harsher Punishment to Tanks leaving groups

/signed As a 60 zerk, my whole fri and sat was spent watching tanks come and go as they pleased before even starting. Only time i finished was when i went with guildies or people on my server.

Whats worse is when I hear zerk friends of mine in their 30s and 40s getting kicked from LFD because of lancers wanting loot rights. Really? Now lower levels?

Need a fix now please!

I do agree with the stiffer penalties but there really isn't much that can be done at the moment with only one LFD tank class unless you find a group on your server without using LFD in the first place.

The changes to allow Warriors to be better tanks IS on the way. Just a matter of WHEN we actually get that update, as it was just announced a few weeks ago that it was going to be in development and released with Queen of Argon part 2 patch (the patch with battlegrounds). So, while it might be a little far off, just wait a little bit of time and Warriors will be able to queue as tanks.

Bluehole is currently working on it and we will get it shortly after it is released in Korea so just be patient(to much to ask, I know.) or run groups with your guild, if at all possible, to avoid the Lancers that feel they can do whatever they want with no penalties at all.

Level 55 lancer here

I don't kick anybody from my groups unless you are a liability.

I don't kick Zerks either, I tend to hug em.

I however will kick TERRIBLE zerks. If you are a good zerk and can do your job properly, You can have your cut in the loot. I run by this rule and haven't come across any terrible zerks once yet. I tend to come across terrible sorcs and healers mostly.

Definition of 'terrible' in my book is becoming a liability, dying often, not doing any damage, missing your attacks, blaming others for your screw ups when I see it was your fault for a poor decision.

a Good zerk would be good survivability, knows when to block, does large amounts of burst damage, knows when to attack to avoid stealing aggro from me, this is a good zerk.

If you do enough damage and a plate drops off the boss, If I don't need it, I will pass on the roll and you will get yourself a plate. i tend to pass on most metal armor rolls I do not need.

I also really don't give a ratsass about weather I don't get a drop due to random dice rolls.

What a brilliant idea.

Increasing a quitter penalty for lancers will result in one and one thing only: Less tanks in LFG queue.

+1 This has definately become a problem! I appears the second the que pops, and some lancers see a zerk in the group, they are OUT. Leaving the rest of the group to wait it out for another lancer(if one ever shows up) or disbanding and getting a deserter buff! A healer friend and I(sorc) suffered through this all day yesterday attempting to run NT. There was 1 lancer that stuck around out of an entire days attempts! If they don't kick the zerker, they leave the group immediately!

So, for all the other honorable lancers that are posting here saying they are not doing this, this doesn't apply to you, but enough of the others are doing it and creating quite and issue for other players.

It is a growing issue that needs to be address in some manner.

Two things.

1. I am only leaning towards tanks, because they have the power to do it and F over an entire group. The punishment should be for all people that drop when they see a class they don't want to compete for loot with eg. slayer/war, sorc/healer etc.

2. +1 for less lancers in queuing system? sounds perfect! keep the "DUMB" lancers out of the LFG queue system... I don't see a problem with that. A good lancer such as Lordshade would use it, and a ditz would stay away, since they know they would get punished!

I agree that there needs to be a harsher punishment, but it definitely needs to be implemented correctly via a comprehensive rule set, and as someone else said, definitely needs to be applied to everyone in the party.

as soon as you get into any dungeon... pull a mob... now if the tank leaves, he is stuck on the dungeon cooldown timer, instead of just the 15min debuff.

also, once warriors can queue as tanks... the tank finder timer will be much lower.

This is much easier said than done in Balder's Temple and Fane of Kaprima, since the first pull in both instances is actually a boss(with a door on FoK, so you could lock out your party). Truth be told, if I saw this happen i'd either vote kick that dude or straight up leave.
