See the greatestest part about spelling mistakes is it brings the real idiots out of the woodwork. Thanks. I laughed. It's been a while.

Well, I'm just gonna go off of what Turista was saying. I aint really been out past the startin island yet (playing around with class' and such and letting wifey try it out). Anyways, PK'n don't really bother me, if the abilities in a game, it's gonna happen. But as far as Bounty system goes, if you ever played UO (Ultima Online for those that weren't around for that one), that was a fun one. Had to put up money for it, but however much you post up, that's how much the PK is worth. Just had to cut them up and give their head to a town guard. Also, they weren't able to enter town for a certain duration (until their name went from Red to Gray). If name was blue, whoever attacks you goes gray. While gray if you kill more, you go red, and then it takes a while to go away. While gray, anyone can attack you without any repercussions happening to them, even in town. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that again.

Actually I have fat fingers. :(

Also it was more about the comments people make that correct a typo.

The UO bounty system was OK, but for people that are just starting the game and have no money it doesn't give them much. It could also be an option though.

In Tera you get infamy for kiling below your level, kinda like what happened in UO. It's a pretty cool system, but it has almost no repercussion if you're farming lowbie zones.

PK'ing doesn't bother me either, it's the 40-50s one-shotting people in a lowbie zone that isn't much fun.

My suggestions weren't meant to stop PKing, just make it more fun.

Was about to post something along this line.

The story of this game is that we're all working togeather. If someone goes around ganking a lot, then he should have a bad name in towns. This solution goes with the storyline.

Idea I was going to post was to restrict the level range you can PvP.
Lets say a 5 level span.
Now you add a new flag system. Attacker and Defender.
-Attackers are the ones who start the fight(if that was not a given). Those flagged attackers are not restricted by the level limitations. Meaning a level 60 can come and kill you. You will be flagged as attacker for an additional 3 minutes after the fight, if you make your kill, as attacked by any level. This does not mean you can attack any level. Just that they can attack you.
-Defenders are the ones getting attacked (again probably obvious). Defenders are flagged as such till they win, one side escapes or die.

This opens up a PvP reputation system as well. If you gank enough your name becomes known as such. Same works the other way for those who come to the defense of a Defender before the fight is over. Or just kills an attacker(more points if you get both).

All that's left is a reward system.

Ok, I love PvP so I'm in a PvP server. But one-shotting someone 20 levels lower than you isn't PvP, sorry. It's you trying to be a douchebag or stroking your e-peen. It's skilless and coward.

Saying "don't like PvP join a PvE server and stop qq'ing" is plain dumb and doesn't make you look like a baddass, despite what you may think. If you think one-shotting people is PvP, you're in for a surprise once you try facing people your level.

If people want to do act like that, fine. But give them harsher penalties than that puny debuff. I'd love to see a system that announces on the area channel after 5 lowbie kills where the player is and mark them on everyone's map. Make them drop their gear and whomever killed them gets to keep it, like a bounty. That's a REAL outlaw system.

It would also make it more fun where you have more people organized to take on PKers and PKers also more organized to defend against them.

The current system isn't that fun. It could be MUCH better.

I agree with this. I was a hardcore PVP lineage 2 player on Kain server back in the days and this is why I feel like the PVP system in this game is half-assed. What they should have done (since they were trying to copy the Lineage 2 pvp system anyways) was make players who turn red have a % chance to drop/destroy their gear. Because there is no "real" severe penalty, players in PVP servers are just capping infamy without any real consequence. This is an issue that cannot be overlooked. Not only does this type of grief PVP push away new players six month down the line, Guild vs. Guild is broken. Feel like beating that guild that decided to "war" you? Just kill their low level players that aren't 60 and continue to accumulate points to win. The PVP system in this game needs to be improved and changed before more players just exploit this and just destroy the influx of new players.

Exactly. People that think the current system is fine are either inexperienced at games or love to one-shot people with no repercussion.

Well said, Jeffxsee84.

CAREBEARS EVERYEWHERE WHY?

Your and idiot.

I would comment on this, but you already did enough damage to yourself.

Protecting a troll by picking on someone for making a spelling mistake. Who's doing damage to them self?

I am by no means protecting a troll.

But if you're going to call someone an idiot, try not to make yourself look like one in the process.
