We did not suffer these huge waits last CB BUT we did suffer smaller ones. I have to wonder why you have allowed MORE people to register on an already overflowing server.
Now for you to sit here and calmly tell us *suck it up, go make a new char on a server without your friends, leave behind your lvl 33 char and start again.
Server transfers wouldnt have been an issue if you hadnt opened up more slots on an already overflowing server. You did know that the 3 pvp servers are the most populare so should have been ready.
They most likely did not anticipate the incredible surge of PvP players, even so it is still a risky decision at the moment for expansion as who knows what will happen when the game gets released. No one wants empty servers. Instead they're trying to keep healthy servers and infer the amount of decrease in population that hopefully should balance it off. It's still a business, you don't want to expand before you can maintain and then before you even know your demographics.
Agree there should have at least been an even number of PvP vs PvE servers.
The worst part is getting randomly disconnected due to a client crash or server load issue after you have already waited through the 1-2 hour+ queue. You never know when the game is going to drop you and force you to sit through a queue again.
Why not just close the VOT server and mark it as "Full" at least to balance some of the load to the other servers?
I've noticed that while waiting in line from about 2226th in line, the EXP bonus stops at 60 minutes. I would have thought it would have kept adding exp bonus time while waiting.
Also, is there a way to open multiple instances of the game so while waiting on one server I can be leveling on another server on the same account? Then maybe a notification while playing on that other server that my main server is now available? Anything like this in process of being implemented?
Can we get any explanation as to why you guys made the choice to allow buddy code users into the head start? I can understand that you want the game to be popular and the buddy code people may not be majority of those causing queues, but the fact is this is this is supposed to be the head start for pre order CUSTOMERS not CUSTOMERS and 3 of their friends.
So yeah. what was the motivation or reasoning behind allowing buddy codes in the head start and not in a month or two like every other game in the history of ever
Do you have the data on how many players were added to those servers via buddy keys? I'd imagine that's why your data says we don't need another server yet, because you don't know how many will convert over to launch.
(11 minutes remaining)
The free server transfers gives me the feeling that more people will try to get on VoT....
Yeah it will even out cause so many people will quit cause of this
