We have seen how bad opening new servers can affect the long term health of games so we want to be sure that a new server is the right decision. We are less than 12 hours into a game that will be played for years, give us 1-2 days for things to settle down. For those interested in alts I would suggest queuing for Basilisk Crag and than transfering back to Valley of Titans on Monday.

As for the reason we are more full now than open beta is not buddy codes - honestly it is a drop in the bucket compared to pre-orders or even open beta registrants.

The reason there are queues is that right now you guys are playing at a 50% higher "active account to logged in" rate than open beta. At no time in a products life is there a more busy time than the first 48 hours, because it is the only time that every player wants to play at the same time. After the first 48 hours to a week things drop off significantly.

Sounds more like the drop off will be caused by people that are no longer willing to wait 2 hours before playing their game...

Day 1

Already queued over 2.5 hours with at least another hour to wait

And yes if this continues I wont be a stayer.

Good customer support = take care of the customers you do have because they are the best and cheapest advertising you will ever get.

Guys as much as you are all frustrated by the queues, you have to understand that everything that En Masse is saying makes perfect sense. A lot of us here are MMO vets and have seen games like WoW and RIFT drop new servers like hotcakes, only for them to become redundant in a matter of months, or even weeks, and have to merge them with other servers to alleviate the "ghost town factor".

The game has been out for all of 12 hours and you're already acting like the sky is falling, don't you think that's just a little melodramatic? En Masse need to carefully evaluate the situation over time to make an informed decision on what action should be taken.

So if you love the game, take the queues as a minor set back, which will be fixed quickly, and stop acting like it's the end of the world.

If you really think about how you're reacting, after the game has been out for such a miniscule amount of time, I'm sure you'll agree that you're exaggerating the severity of the situation just a little.

Ditto. There's no point in keeping my level 32 if it's going to take 3-4 hours just to be able to start playing... I don't have 8+ hours a day to devote to a game.

Sure, except one of the big perks of pre-ordering was supposed to be the head start before retail launch... which is now effectively going to amount to a total of a few extra hours to play before retail launch. whoopty [filtered] doo. All the good pre-order perks now can be had for free, or simply can't be used because of an insane queue system that forces you to re-queue when their client crashes.

Going by the fact that CrazyDats is 3456th in line to enter the server and servers have a cap of how many people they can hold. Does this mean that we are waiting for people to be dc'd or to log out before we can enter? Either way its still a joke as a queue of 3456 people waiting on 1 server shows that someone didnt do their figures right.
