LOL at the rage over what i said agreeing with Mystryl. they started with what? 7 pve servers... and they're saying "we have seen how too many servers adversely effects the game" hahaha... pve servers are dead in comparison to pvp. make 6 pvp servers, 3 pve and 1 RP. or just even it out with 5/4/1 (rp obviously not needing more). Theres no sense in arguing over it. And i'm not saying to have 20 servers to accomadate people... Just balance what types of servers there are. But obviously people cant accept constructive criticism in this community. Off to a great start :) my statements here are done.

Hi

We at enmasee are actually sitting in our offices, waiting in QUEUE WITH YOU. We feel your pain!
We're not working on improving the situation or resolution planning, we're just [filtered] queuing.

Hey all,
I know some folks have been experiencing queues, specifically on our PvP servers and I want you to know we are not ignoring the problem. We have a lot of analytics and data that we've been constantly looking at. Here are some of the things we're seeing

Queues on PvP servers:

• Valley of Titans has a large queue with a wait time from 2-3 hours. Folks are getting in (we've got internally people that got in through the queue in under 2 hours and yes they were legit!) but its slow because this is a popular server

• Jagged Coast has a moderate queue of roughly one hour. Though not as popular as VoT, it is close.

• Basilisks Craig has a small queue with roughly a 15-20 minute wait time.

No other servers currently have queues. As you can see the PvP servers are very popular, but the character distribution and players wanting to play on them is skewed. There are spots open on both JC and BC that are a much smaller wait time than VoT, and we encourage folks to go there to even out the queues.

We know just 'going there' isn't possible or preferred for people who have invested time in characters on VoT. To help alleviate that we will be having free character transfers starting Monday 4/30. The details can be found here:

http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/tera-server-transfers-available-at-launch

We know that queues are frustrating; we are experiencing the same pains you are here in the office (we don't get special privileges). This is part of the pain of an initial surge of players at launch and we fully expect this to even out over the next few days. In the mean time we hope that by either creating characters on lower queue servers or transferring your existing character to another server on Monday will help with the stress and frustration of queues and get you in and kicking the crap out of BAMs in no time.

Thanks,
-Chager

So what in your eyes is an acceptable que time before you decide to open another server?? Opening up server transfers to even out the ques? Really?? Lets just say that happened and there were an even amount of people on all three PvP servers that would still give us roughly an hour wait for each PvP server and this does not even take into account the people that will buy the game on day 1. So is 1 hour an acceptable que time?? I personally do not think so, 5-10 max as far as I am concerned. I love this game do not get me wrong but I am a full time father/student/husband and I do not have all the time in the world to play games, so the time I do get I would like to actually play and not sit in line like I am at some stupid ride at Disneyland, and I am sure there are many more like me. I am going to wait this out because I paid for the game I love the game and I am hoping this gets fixed soon. I know your "stats" say another server is not needed and that having to many servers can be bad over the long haul but cmon adding 1 more PvP server is not going to break the bank and worse case scenario in the future you close it and give free transfers from that server to one of the other 3. I guarantee less people will rage quit in that scenario then would having to wait 1 hour every time they want to play.

Turning on extra servers evidently is too complicated. Adding extra PVP servers is too complicated. Delivering promised features is too complicated.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is more that EME can do about this problem. Their just not doing it.

Guys as much as you are all frustrated by the queues, you have to understand that everything that En Masse is saying makes perfect sense. A lot of us here are MMO vets and have seen games like WoW and RIFT drop new servers like hotcakes, only for them to become redundant in a matter of months, or even weeks, and have to merge them with other servers to alleviate the "ghost town factor".

The game has been out for all of 12 hours and you're already acting like the sky is falling, don't you think that's just a little melodramatic? En Masse need to carefully evaluate the situation over time to make an informed decision on what action should be taken.

So if you love the game, take the queues as a minor set back, which will be fixed quickly, and stop acting like it's the end of the world.

If you really think about how you're reacting, after the game has been out for such a miniscule amount of time, I'm sure you'll agree that you're exaggerating the severity of the situation just a little.

Peace!

No body is saying to add 20 servers, 1 more PvP server would be great though. We all paid to play early. We are not getting what we paid for end of story.

I played another Korean game called Silkroad Online. They had the same problem on all of their servers too. What did they do about it?? Nothing. I dont expect much from this game either.

Exactly right... because I decided I want to play on a PVP server, I'm no longer entitled to the pre-order perks I paid for? Bull[filtered]. I'm not rolling PVE, starting at square one and hoping to transfer later after retail launch. After 6 betas that went off really well for me, I' stunned and extremely disappointed at how EME handled their "pre-order exclusive" head start and made it a complete non-start.

I'll be honest, come May 1st if I'm still waiting more than 20 minutes to log in to a P2P game (currently waiting in what started as a 100+ minute one) then En Masse better figure out something quick. Also why would you allow more people onto VoT if it was already this full? It's like you're purposely trying to keep the servers uneven in terms of population and traffic. The very least you could do at the moment is remove the 60 minute cap on the bonus exp so we actually get what we waited for. Like right now as I type this I'm at the 60 minute exp cap but expected to wait another 70 minutes or so with no kind of reward? I'm loving this game so far but if this is going to be a regular thing (even on weekends) then you're going to lose a lot of customers. I think En Masse realizes that letting more people in VoT was a mistake, and this is their answer to it (the free character transfers) but I'm not convinced it will be enough. I also agree with the people who bring up the d/cing issue, it's like we're being penalized for disconnecting which happens to even people with the best connections.
