just another example of how the community can be elitist. 3 people in this guild left after trying to get lead of party to kick both of us for never doing it before

Whats that? What do you mean to get into a dungeon for the first time I have to have done it before?

The amount of idiots in this game is astounding to say the least.

You cant base the entire community off 3 people.
I know in my guild, we help new people and don't mind teaching the dungeons, I get no everyone does this, but there are some good people out there still :D

Didnt you know you have to run the dungeon before you do the dungeon to be able to do the dungeon?

If you've never done a dungeon before, go in with some friends, and have them teach you.

If you cant solo the first bam in ToT, quit.

No one can be bothered to take thirty seconds to type out directions for boss fights.
Very few of them are really so complicated as to need long instructions. I've saved a lot of trouble before just by stopping at the doorway to a boss area and saying
'don't stand in the goo/circles and look out for the aoe that triggers when he does x'
apparently this is way too much trouble for our uber leet players though.

I do agree that we are seeing some bad trends from the community early on.

I honestly still consider this a prelaunch game.
There are two huge patches before we even get to what I would actually call release state.

I've brought horribly undergeared and in cases a bit underleveled people into many dungeons.
Surprisingly they are often the last to die not the first after a bit of explanation.

If you want to easy mode everything... what is the point of playing though?
If you are not happy without moving anything remotely resembling a challenge from the equation what the hell are you playing the game for anyhow?

I'll wish you well when you have your full suit of fancy gear but no one will even talk to you anymore ...no one there to stroke your fragile ego.

I miss my ffxi community... I have a feeling it was such an exclusive community just because half if not more of the trolls in the tera community wouldn't make it in that game so we didn't have to deal with them.

I don't know if we'll ever have a solid community in this game...

@OP, i agree this community is god awful., but more patches like this one and it'll be a great game, fun too since it's bordering on reasonable, far from where it should be. Gold (money) drops still need to be increased 70% or cost of everythign dropped 50%.. which probably won't happen.

I have a solution.

Pattern-match the chat logs, verify if this is what happened, and ban the kickers.

I know, I know...much too cutting-edge of a solution. =(
