Excuse me if I've missed any response, but I've been under the impression that all of us that are disgruntled about "Premium Items" would be addressed soon. Can you give us an ETA for this address please?

This is pretty much my issue at this point. These discussions have already proven to be a pretty massive concern for a lot of people.

No response at all. Check for yourself:

http://www.teradevtracker.com/

if by lot of people, you mean a handful of minorities on the forums who have this bat crap crazy insane idea that they were never told a (which they were too told) CS would exist? that because of such EME is lying to us that this wasnt aftermarket product, and that theyre barring content. and that whats to stop them from charging for more content?

i cant wrap my head around how such stupid conclusions come into existance

When I think 'Premium Services' I think F2P game. Paying a subscription fee isn't 'Premium' to EmE. I wont be surprised when there are P2W items added to their 'Premium' shop within the year.

Don't expect them to say they are expecting to do it. They wont. They will just drop it on us. Communication hasn't been their strong point lately.

im not arguing in favor of paying more money for things... but these are VANITY items... if you dont want em... dont buy em... the ppl who want them will buy them... you pay for your subscription... which allows you to play the game... dont expect to get extra. when you pay to get into a theme park, you expect to have to pay for food... this is the same way.

False analogy,... strawman argument.... Logical content null

You can't use that poll Pepperzine. People have been stacking their votes, and it's inaccurate.

lol at people who think EME as a company is made up of only 4 people. It takes weeks if not months for a company to bring things to the public, there are things like market test and financial reviews and a whole mess of other things. The same 30-50 people on the forums complaining about it, not every forum related to Tera has thousands in a out cry. So unless you want to pay them what they will get from keeping the online store, I cant see them taking it out just to please these babies.

ever heard of a Poll? Like where someone Like Quinniac asks a few thousand people what they think? and where 56 % say " we prefer santorum." and 30 % say " we prefer Gingrich.

But, w e have 100 million people... who cares what Quinniac says?

Oh wait...

The thing with several louder members of this board is that they believe their $15 entitles them to everything that is developed for the game.

They never got the memo it's not 2004 anymore.

Developers needn't spend time and money creating the fun little toys that people enjoy. There's much more longevity in pouring resources into the next carrot on a stick. In essence, while one could argue the vanity items are content, they're not game changing content, and they quite very literally are the developers/publishers way of getting a little extra cash out of those willing to pay for useless if amusing baubles. It's content, but acquired in a different way than plundering a dungeon or following the dots to earn a prize in an event.

What you're seeing right now is EME waiting out the storm they knew they'd kick up releasing the store. People are inevitably going to be upset, whether because they feel mistreated because they firmly believe their $15 should get them everything, or because they irrationally believe the cash shop will inevitably lead to selling power. At least the former group has a legitimate concern, though service providers are clearly moving away from the $15 covers everything model, simply because history says it will work.

Today, the only real difference between a P2P and an F2P is the mandatory subscription fee for the former. F2P's are just far more likely to sell pay-to-win items because they need to really encourage players to pay, since a monthly sub isn't exactly a part of their planned income.

ToS does Not say that My Monthly pays for game changing content.

second ... it says I pay for Content.

Let's analyze rules of english.... and Logic.

Game changing is a Modifier. Content is the subject of the following sentence.

The cash ship sells Game changing Content, and... My $15 dollars pays for Content.

Now In English and Logic One can remove all modifiers and NOT change the trith or false value of the sentence.

example:

I Like My scruffy dog.

I can remove the modifyer scruffy, and it does Not change the truth value of the sentence. If it was true before it is still true..

I Like My scruffy dog = I like My dog. Just because the dog is Not described as scruffy does Not mean it is Not still loved. also it is hard to modufy the Loved doh to scruffy.. and Love it as described as scruffy... whule arguing that it is Not loved when all it is described as is...as a dog.

How does this relate?

The Cash shop sells game changing content, and my $15 dollars pays for content.

It includes the Modifyer Game changing. to describe the subject Content.

I can remove the Modifier, and Not change the truth value of the sentence.

If :

The Cash shop sells game changing content, and my $15 dollars pays for content.

is true.... then

The Cash shop sells content, and my $15 dollars pays for content.

is also true.

Quod Erat Demonstrandum.

False analogy,... strawman argument.... Logical content null

1. its not an analogy
2. its not a strawman

strawmans =

person 1 has opinion A
person 2 disregards key aspects of opinion A and forms a similar yet not complete opinion B.
opinion B is a twisted, and distorted version of opinion A because:

1.presents misinterpretation of opinion A
2. presents someone who defends the argument poorly as the defender, then refuting them
3. takes words from opinion A out of context
4. simplifying the argument, then refuting it

you obviously do not know what a logical fallacy is. be quiet.
