How do we hear from EME?

I pose this, I feel valid question, to user and staff alike on these forums.
I honestly believe a lot of the frustration I see from the real users we have here on this forum, is based on a sense their concerns and frustration go unheard.

While I really believe a short daily/semi-daily blog should be added to the launcher window right under patch notes, for now EME is communicating with us, it just seems people are not seeing it much.

The only thing I found so far myself was the twitter.
http://twitter.com/TERAonline

Which is fairly active, but if you are like me and don't actually use twitter you might have missed it.

While I would like to see my suggestion put into use, and I do believe it would be a positive thing for everyone involved. Right now all I have is that twitter link, and I was wondering if there were other things I should be more aware of in the way of getting feedback from EME?

Apologies if this seems to be a 'callout' thread, that was not at all the intention.
In fact what I'm trying to do is reduce drama around here a bit.

While we are working to implement dev tracker on the forums, this is a nice 3rd party site to keep track of the En Masse posts throughout the forum. For the latest news from us please visit News and Announcements section, and we have a pinned thread going for game-related information in the near future (usually the next 2 patches). :)

I also think they should release a timetable or progression sheet of how things are going. I loved that chart from last year beasts of destruction which showed their entire timetable and what was planned for release.

I don't think its too much for enmasse to ask what is being worked on next. Just seems silly that they were so open a year ago, and now you can't get anything out of them except "we are looking into it"

Not im not even sure if any of the things mentioned early last year are still in development

After the argon patch?

guild housing -> not sure where they are on this

Server vs Server -> Not sure if they haven't scrapped this entirely

New Continent -> who knows

New Class -> ::shrugs::

its just kinda sad after these things being announced a year ago that no updates have been mentioned on any of these things.

guild housing -> not sure where they are on this

On Reddit Knoxxer said they are apparently trying to get in guild housing, however player housing was not on the radar.

As you can see by the areas highlighted yellow in the main cities, guild housing has started, but when it will be completed is unknown.

Sorry but that is so outdated, most of the stuff mentioned on that benchmark did not even release at the specified date. I think after a year, its time for them to revise this timetable. I remember back when that was released, the idea of a jail system was also planned (and later scrapped).

Things change, so i think we should also see a revision of future plans (new progession sheet) considering most of those deadlines on that timetable did not happen.

I don't think they're doing too shabby on communication. It's just that the sources are spread all over the place without a clear hey look at me sourcepoint in the main page. Minea just posted a link to a couple of things I didn't even know existed.

In terms of publishing a timetable or future plans I think it's a very bad idea. Development is a moving target, and sometimes some things pop out of nowhere that command priority, pushing everything else back, and even invalidating the earlier plans taking them in a different direction.

Moreover they are also at the mercy of Bluehole's own internal projections.

Having said that I think they can very easily and realistically let us know of things that will be available in the future once they have a solid announcement in KTera. If any random can visit their website, translate it, and tell us months in advance about coming skins, patches and things like the swimsuits there really is no reason why they should have an official splash in the main page.

For example, of the latter there is a confirmation from Knox that they're aiming for the summer stuff to come in August. But it's buried on some random thread somewhere. (I suspect the main reason from holding back an announcement is that they're deciding how to implement them: as egg contents, store, both or other.) Still, they are supposed to be in the loop of these things as Bluehole is.

My hope is that they simply are calibrating how to best put these things out based on feedback from earlier releases (your pony is too damn expensive, your Teddy bear is broken- I'll think twice before my next purchase. Etc)

Ok, They have this website as an outlet, still they refuse to gather future information on this site. People have to search Korean forums and websites to find any feasible information about the game. Sadly the information given has been known for quite some time. The QOTA2 patch isn't the type of content i was addressing, people were originally expecting most of the content in the QOTA2 patch during launch, mainly battlegrounds. Im talking about all the other content i mentioned above that hasn't been spoken about since last year.

They don't have to give time tables even, just the order in which content the content will be released. Like which one has priority at BHS and which ones are considered afterthoughts. These things let players know that they are thinking ahead and keeping the players in mind.

I guess its too much to ask that they be alittle more open? Im pretty sure Enmasse has weekly meetings about the game with BHS, so its not like they have no idea what BHS is doing.

... and all of this was my reason for creating this thread, to calmly call attention to this lack of communication and try to offer easy fixes for it. I do think adding something in the launcher is the fastest way.

It also puts it right in the face of anyone playing so they can't come on the forums and complain about it being difficult to find.
