Well thought I ask ahead of time so I can remember it, but how do you lock in the enchant bonuses that you want?
Not sure I fully understand the question. as far as I know you can only enchant an item by destroying something of the same socket & item level. & that would just give it a + to the base stats it already has .
Like level 40 boots . you get 2 of them & destroy one to make level 40 2+boots ..
But I'm super green at this no0b all the way
Er.... what?
You're just super confusing there.
Anyway, By locking in bonuses I mean by sealing and unsealing the item and when one of the bonuses that are unsealed that you like you lock it in and re-seal and unseal again to keep getting the upgrade bonuses that you want. This was a new feature added in.
Ah Okay I get what your saying . The vender with the enchanting dust things sells three scrolls two of them are for locking & unlocking gear
You use an enigma scroll on an already enchanted/identified item. When you do this another window will pop up with all the enchant bonuses. Select the ones you want to keep ("lock") and use the appropriate amount of Spellbind powder to lock the enchants you want (e.g. Tier 10 will require 10 Spellbind dust). You will then be able to re-identify the item. Repeat as needed.
On a side note, this is a very expensive process and I suggest waiting until you have an item you are going to keep for awhile.
Anyone who already tried this might answer my question. When I lock one bonus and then use enigma scroll to bring my item to enigmatic state once again, do I lose base bonuses (I'm talking about those that item has without enchant)?
Here's an example.
Big Sword
Regular bonus 1
Regular bonus 2
Regular bonus 3
+3 Bunus 1
+6 Bunus 2
+9 Bunus 3
If I lock +3 Bonus 1 and then use engima scroll, will I keep all my regular bonuses or those will dissapear with +6 and +9?
As far as I can tell the unenchant bonus are permanent. If you noticed that even sealed the bonuses are still visible and doesn't get masked.
