Kind of refreshing to see some people from EQ on here. Was starting to think that most of the people were just from WoW and later. :)
My timeline went EQ > Winter's Roar > Scorpious2k > Shards of Dalaya (all three of those were EQEmus) > Guild Wars > SoD > Rift > TERA
Got to thinking, like another poster a few pages ago, that there would not be another MMO out there I'd be looking forward to playing like I always was with EQ. I've always thought of MMOs as not a typical game with a unique following. WoW kind of took that line between the MMO community and the rest of the gaming community and threw it out the window. Don't think there's been another MMO in the past 6 or so years that even came close to catching my attention like EQ did sadly. Rift was really fun for a while, until the novelty of the Rift events and everything wore off. The "grind" to max level was mindless, easy and got a bit boring.
Really looking forward to TERA tomorrow, work is going to be terribly long feeling.
I'm mainly coming from WoW. Played FFXI in 06 for a few months then went to WoW at the end of 06 and loved every inch of it until 09, when I went back to FFXI again for a few months then back to WoW lol. I was playing WoW on and off by this point and tried out numerous free MMO's and Rift but I never liked any of them. I finally had my fill right before Cata hit, I managed to hit 85 (still playing on and off) and stopped right after.
Went to SWTOR when that came out, got bored within a month and stopped playing MMO's for a bit until I saw videos of Tera. I got so excited for this game and was tired of the WoW combat style so of course, I went back to FFXI lol. I plan to cancel it when Tera hits. Then hoping to play GW2 along with Tera when that comes out :)
came from wow a few years back started following Tera for 2 to 3 years O.o? had small f2p MMO'S between i left and got on TERA :3 and just recently finished on minecraft , didn't end up in the End Though Q_Q maybe next week >:)
The only thing i like from wow was cute pets X3 and that wryvern plush ....But i like tera bc the raid people cant say your not healing enough when HOTS are better XD and they complain here , if you die after i die , and i attack the boss and your a piece of [filtered] tank who dont know how to use shield or Dodge , then i can rage on you = FUN ":D
Played UO from 97-02, EVE 03-present, ffxi 03-10, WoW few months in 2004, lotro 09-Present MUDS prior 97
WoW > Aion > WoW > Rift > Swtor > Tera
Comic Books > Pinball Machines > Sierra Games > Descent > Command & Conquer > insert many games > UO > AC-Darktide > DAoC > ................................................................>TERA

Ah, the bumpy MMO road.
Let's see... I started with Rangarok Online whilst it was still in beta, then I patiently waited until Final Fantasy XI came out in 2003 of which I very much fell in love. I've mainly played that MMO for the last decade, finally stopping earlier this year for good this time.
However, I did manage to play a few other MMO's during my breaks from Final Fantasy XI; they include World of Warcraft, Aion and Final Fantasy XIV. Out of those three I loved vanilla World of Warcraft.
I really enjoyed the TERA closed beta, so that brings me here! :)
