I am a WoW refugee. I hope this game stays unique for as long as possible. I also played The old Republic, it was sadly a WoW clone with very few things that hadn't been done before. I will miss having those companions that did the profession grinding for you.
You should avoid reading lol. I never commented on the quality of a WoW players character, morals, or personality. I commented on the fact that all these hardcore and competitive games have always been available. But never played by WoW players because they were too hard or not user friendly enough. So I don't like WoW players.
As far as what I think of WoW players in general however is that because of how popular WoW became, every socially awkward pop culture injected youth flocked to it. Making up the larger part of WoWs population, which can be proven by the laughable direction the game has shifted development wise. So generalizing is using the majority of something, to label the whole. Those who are not apart of that majority, have no right to be offended by my generalization, because the willingly were apart of that population...yawn
So fail, troll somewhere else. Should've known by the "XX[name]XX" tags
but stilling useing swtor and its free 30days to kill time till tera
Exactly this. Played wow for 7 years then Pandas came....
SWTOR had potential but they completely botched up launching unfinished product.
Now hoping Tera will be what everyone is building it up to be.
Please explain. How was SWTOR unfinished? Are you talking about quest bugs, and some other bugs in general? Or are you talking about features?
SWtoR was an unfinished game because BIOWARE set such a high standard for their quest lines with all the voice acting, speech wheel, and cut scenes. The games content was quickly completed, and now it will take BIOWARE a very long time to catch back up with new content, or they will have to scrap the entire selling point of their game. The game should not have been released until at least the first 2 expansions were completed and in beta mode.
Just curious. A friend and I were discussing the New Launch Features list and wondered just how many people may migrate from those games over into this one.
The list is an attractive one, as I'm sure you've all seen: http://tera.enmasse.com/new-launch-features
So how many of you are refugees from WoW and SWToR, or possibly any other MMO?
I am a WoW Refugee. I couldn't be bothered with SWToR.
EDIT: Apologies if this topic has been done before, but I was not able to locate that thread (if it exists).
Second EDIT: Adding my gaming timeline:
Guild Wars 1 > City of Heroes > WoW > City of Heroes > Champions Online > RIFT > WoW > Tera.
Nothing personal, but I hate all WoW players. They are all a bunch of carebears that mess up real games for us. Please enjoy the game, and do not ask for stupid impleminations.
You're generalizing that all wow players are like that, which it isn't true.
