Played CB3(na) had a great time questing, only had time to level 2 classes to 14 just to try things out. I didnt get a chance to pvp at all, but the combat system is pretty fun and new.

My questiong and gripe keeping me from instantly pre-ordering is the population and being able to come to the game alone(no friends coming with)

so i ask ye general community, what say you? will i be able to come to this game pick up some friends and a guild easy and pvp? will there be enough people playing to have a large scale guilds/pvp/pve?

ty for taking the time.

Making new friends in MMO's isn't too hard. You just have to find a nice guild w/ vent. :) GL

(don't forget that if you don't pre-order your characters get wiped. A lot of people didn't know that and were angry. So just a heads up)

I'm comming to the game alone, i pre-ordered. If i like a game, i'm going to play it. I picked up friends the first day i played CBT3, joined the guild and we had lots of fun over Mumble (Voice Server). Some people were drunk, etc. Just telling stories and having a great time. Although, i'm currently trying to get my brother to play.

I think there will be alot of people playing on release, as well for OBT.

I pre-ordered before I found out about pet shops being removed and EME adding BoP items to curb RMT. Now I feel like EME is just trying to quick launch this under false pretenses in order to cash grab a potential Western market.

I would avoid pre-ordering regardless of the community. Servers will always have their own community. So you could always change servers. If the game is successful and EME has the intention of making it a successful MMO then I would say go a head and buy the game after it launches.

As of now though I could not recommend this game to anyone. EME is making shady decisions behind closed doors about major systems. And I have been given no reason to trust that their decisions are anything more than an attempt to cash grab a market and drop the game on its face in 6 months. They certainly have not supported them with any real data.

bop items dont really bother me, only makes me pve to get some items or if there is a crafting system i would do that, never liked having to buy an item overpriced because some guy needed it just for gold.

I would recommend this game to anyone that is looking for a new MMO. Who cares about the changes they are making. They are small insignificant parts of the game that won't change gameplay or any part of the game that people are playing the game for. Pre-order this game right now! Many have without regret and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I'm always looking for some cool peeps to game with. Hit me up next CBT. I'm on Serpentis Isle.

Just to get the alternative view out there - I just canceled my pre-order after playing CBT1-3 and EU CBT 1-2. I'm a pvper, and as innovative as the fps-style targeting is, it's still just the same class/level/gear-based MMO.

My reasons:
1) one-shots in pvp
2) chain-cc in pvp
3) healing can never match dps in pvp

These three alone means this is not a skill-based pvp style game, but rather RNG-based. Now I can add BoP to the list, among others. I hear a lot about things being different in end-game, but I'm not going to waste 100s of hours in the hope that we'll have skill-based pvp down the line. If in a few months the feedback shows it's skill-based, then I'll check it out.

I would NOT recommend pre-ordering.

i appreciate the comments, 100+ hours to hit max level?i have watched many streams, and i have seen some of the chain cc abilities but it seems like its only casters getting caught badly that get chain cc'd. only 1 shots ive seen are sorcs and people standing in an AOE.

If it makes any difference, I really loved this game. You never know until you try for yourself. The people who came on here and said not to pre-order have been on the forums all night complaining. They're just trying to cause trouble. I would just stick with your gut instinct and forget about what the people on here say.

Good luck to you Nix :)
