How much "epicness" is there in end game gearing?

Is there like infinite upgrading later or close to it? Like getting the absolute best set of gear then upgrading it all to the highest "+" ?

How far does this game go with gear? I want to feel like I found something great, but then find out "omg, there is better" and then even better after that. I wanna be on the loot treadmill forever and never have the best gear because there is always something better, hence, the treasure hunt begins. (Which is why I love Diablo)

your an idiot and plain ignorant if you think endgame is more about skill than gear. The problem with the design of this game, even though they are going for a skill based platform. Its even more gear dependent the way they have things set up.

THIS GAME IS VERY GEAR DEPENDENT!
