I cant take leveling anymore....

Anyone else who cant take leveling in Tera anymore. I really want to get to 60 because Tera will be awesome at 60 once Battlegrounds and Dark Crevices get implemented (all level 60 content). Nevertheless, i just cant take more of leveling anymore, it is the EXACT same formula hub after hub. NO more please!!

Go to a Hub, gather up all the quests, all the quests about "X is threating this camp, go kill a Y number of X and bring back some components so we can study them", and then move to the next hub where you get the exact same quests.

I guess it would be fine if I had someone to do the boring quests with, but this game is so linear that noone of my friends/guildies is on the same quest chain. No to mention there is no system to allow for something like that. Its like the game mechanics work against you.

Anyways, I have a finate amount to play games anyways, so instead of Tera I think I am going to to play D3 for now, then Torchlight II, then Darksiders II then Boarderlands II and then maybe try Mists of Panderia (not going to try GW2 because I dont like the way they do endgame).

What about the rest of you, are you sticking with leveling or have you given up? (and if so why? :)

Take breaks my good sir. And yes, a group really helps. :/ you just need to get lucky. I've made lots of leveling buddies, and of you have a friend who's a bi behind help them catch up to you and level with them as often as possible.

I haven't been leveling only one character-- Mains only a level 31 priest. Alt 1 is a lancer. Alt 2 is a mystic.
Even though I'm repeating the quests, different killing styles help switch it up for me. C:

(ps, if you are on bask, and around my level, or not to far ahead, I can try to catch up!!)

Just gonna say, there's a looking for group channel, though it is mainly for instances. You can also 'share' a lot of normal yellow quests with your party. That would be the 'system to allow for something like that'. I guess.

The questing in this game is very repetitive, and it probably the biggest drawback of this game. However if I were to compare it to other MMOs I've played, almost all of which used the same quest formula, at least the combat system makes the quests somewhat enjoyable, though still repetitive.

Most of the time when you get to a new area you can ask on area chat if there's someone doing the same quests around where you are, heck you can even walk up to someone else you see doing the same quests as you and suggest you party up, be social! While that doesn't make it any less repetitive, at least it goes faster and gives you someone to talk to.

The solo grind is terrible in every MMO. There's nothing you can do about that. Whatever systems you put in the game, you will be feeling their redundancy after the first thirty levels or so. It's the nature of the beast; learn to love it.

There are some things you can do that can help, though. Like others have said, try leveling with a friend. Join a leveling guild if you don't have any friends who play. Having someone to talk to can definitely liven things up a bit, and leveling goes so much faster when two or more people are chipping away at quests instead of just one.

This is especially useful if you are playing a class that kills things slowly--specifically Lancer or Mystic. If you're solo leveling one of these classes and you're past the mid-30s, wanting to gouge your eyes out is perfectly understandable. If this is your problem, leveling with a friend will give you a dramatic increase in speed. Additionally, if you just don't like the slow soloing mechanics of the Lancer or Mystic, consider switching to a Warrior or Priest. Both classes level much faster than their same-role counterparts, though Warrior tanking won't be up to par with Lancer tanking until QoA pt. 2 patch.

If you're holding out for QoA pt. 2 patch and are playing a Lancer already, think about shelving the Lancer. Rumors say that Lancers will be seeing changes with QoA pt. 2 that make them better at solo leveling.

Finally, read the story quests. The yellow quests are grindy, yes, and the actual completion mechanics of the story quests are just as dull. But the story behind the story quests actually picks up by the time you're into your mid 30s and early 40s. The lore is interesting and can be a useful distraction from your endless slaughter.

No, I am sorry, the sharing quest button is almost useless because it is super rare that guildies and friends will be on the same quest chain. In fact, at any time, probably less than .01% of the server population will be interested in the same quests as you. Remeber quests are super linear and that just how this game works. Sorry.

Although your idea makes sense, I have in fact tried that multiple times because it makes sense. Nevertheless, in over a month I have only found a couple that wanted to group. Most of the time I get ignored. What you are saying just does not work. Maybe your server is friendlier than mine in Dragonfall, who knows. I can assure you though that this idea does not work. It would be awesome if it did.

That is just not true. You need to play more MMOs my friend :)

I totally recommend tryng The Secret World by the way. The game is not for me, but it has awesome questing. SWTOR is not too terrible either.

Yeah in the old days it would take you a week to get a level and if you were nearing the cap prbably a month now thats grinding. Plus levels go quick in Tera only because i have experienced the grind and i dont mind grinding aswell and as others have said from 40-60 party party party is key just grab anyone u can. My main is a tank so get pickups quite easy too :D and i mainly play with rl friends when they are on.

I've been playing with my brother -- we're almost lvl 59 now, and it has never seemed too difficult to lvl. I understand at points it may seem repetitive but the graphics and gameplay are enough to keep me interested. I've had fun.

Will probably be 60 this weekend. :)

Im lv 20, i just cant log anymore tbh. The game is not bad, but the quest system is just bored and repetitive, and since you dont have alternatives or options is even worse, i mean games like rift, warhammer, swtor you can level doing PvP, or DE, so the grind is not that bad but here, you have only 1 option, grind the same quest all the way till 60 and not everyone is up to do that, even worse if you come from games like swtor where you have an story for everysingle quest and class in the game. Tera is not a bad game, but they really need more alternatives to level up.

SWTOR's questing is the exact same thing as this, only with voice acting. I haven't played Secret World, but the game's progression mechanics look pretty drab.
