I generally go out of my way to help tanks in Tera. I understand that they take longer to kill mobs, so I am willing to help. In return I usually get 1 or 2 runs of a dungeons. So we help each other. Currently I am just shy of 48. So if there are any tanks out on BC around my level that want to blow through certain zones, send me an in-game tell. I just started the Fraya's story questline, and I have yet to clear the first set of quests in that zone.

That's very courteous of you. I went out of my way to help DPSers and healers with their group quests and their instance runs. And if you and I were representative of the community at large, everything would be gravy. But unfortunately it's infested with people who don't care about other people's experience, call foul on every little thing and have no patience.

That's the way of things these days it seems.

Overall, I guess it is what it is. In this society, it seems like majority of the people the "me" mentality. And I am not calling everyone out. It almost seems like that people with that attitude ruin it for the rest.

I'm not going to overdramatize but I see where the OP is coming from. My Lancer is now at 34. Since 33 there's no instance I can queue into. So I'm left to just questing, and I can guarantee you I am much more efficient at soloing with every other class but lancer. Sure my health rarely budges but the damage output is pitiful.

Moreover, there are other alts I'm leveling. I'd like to do instances with them. But I'm getting sick of then when I do then for leveling on the Lancer, and I can easily level on other classes.

So next I see several levels of cultists refuge over and over and I'm already feeling pretty nauseated and have not even stepped in.

Regardless: this issue and thread is moot; a revamp for warriors and lancers have been announced. One of the Lancer issues was to "improve soloability." They are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Just don't know what the fix will be.

No sympathy? God , i've never seen a worse community.. tot that the fact the game was expensive it would not attract so many kids ;/

It is not a matter of sympathy, it is a matter of courtesy. Just because majority of the people did not power-level to 60, does not mean that we should be screwed over by someone who has been 60 since day 2 of launch. I am not saying everyone does this, but it seems like currently a portion of the people that are 60 and run dungeons all the time, can be total asses. This is to be expected to a point. But I do not understand why it is so common now. And I hope it gets better soon.

I Really hope the good community it's playing diablo 3.. hope they come back soon, really hope!

The game isn't dead, and the tanks that don't get past 30 are kind of missing the point of tanking, seeing as that's around the time when the game serves up a megaload of group quests and a regular run of instances at every major zone. My lancer got to 60 doing just that. Might I suggest you try it, seeing as you're the one class that never has a problem getting a run? Or is that too much for you to ask of yourself?

Lancers are tanks, they have just enough DPS to get by during the times when groups aren't viable. You do have an option, albeit a tricky one with the warrior - they can tank rather well under certain circumstances and with a party willing to allow for the evasion style. But it takes a lot of skill and positional awareness. It demands of you in ways the DPS side of the warrior simply doesn't.

But that's the problem we keep bumping into on these forums - people just aren't willing to work with what the game gives them and would rather assert opinions as fact, even when those opinions are based on limited experience.

Don't argue with me that lancers are fail to level. I have 2 level 60s: a sorc and an archer. I had no problems leveling these classes. I was leveling my lancer almost exclusively in instances until, if you recall, there's a GAP from 32-38. Sure you can queue for CR at 35 but you will be a liability to the group as any class, most especially a tank.

They need to add another dungeon in that level range, or fix lancer questing. How many 60s do you have? You speak of experience. I assume you have a 60 of each class, or can at least 1-up my dual 60s? No? I have more experience than you in every aspect.

Good grief what are you, 10 years old? If you can't take being corrected don't participate on a public forum.

Whether I have other classes that are 60 is irrelevant particularly since we're talking about leveling. I have just the right experience for the topic at hand - a 60 lancer! I knew what I was getting into when I rolled a pure tanking class. You on the other hand, clearly didn't.

If you have a DPS mindset and the lancer is not clicking for you but you still want to tank, then roll a warrior and use your resources to get groups willing to give you the chance.

This is not rocket science, the class is not broken, the game is not deceased, and you are not an expert.

Seems to me as though you were the one who was corrected Mr. Experienced Ad Hominem master. Playing the age card is a pitiful retort, and invalidates basically everything else you have to say, so I stopped reading there. I know you're mad, but at least try to be logical and constructive like some of the other, more intelligent posters.

Give me a break. I have a 49 mystic and 48 lancer. I go days without playing. I have done the instances once and the rest is questing. It really is easy to level in this game. Complaining is ridiculous. Ask in chat to duo content if you really need.

I did every instance multiple times, I did every single BAM quest, I pitched in on loads of BAM hunting groups, and I coined it in with titan runes and green gear drops, while stacking vast amounts of stam pots in my bank for alts, or for handing out to dpsers like sweeties instead of standing around a camp fire all day when we could have been killing. I missed a large number of side quests but always stayed on top of the story ones.

Every instance I hit, I did so above minimum level. Because lancers are ridiculously in demand as groups go. I never wanted for party content, even in the small hours. I got my arm snapped out of it's socket the moment I showed willing. I didn't ever have to use the LFD because a couple of shouts in /area and I was good to go...it's called putting yourself out there.

I'm calling foul on you and the OP - there is tons of grouping opportunity for your class outside of instances in Tera, more so than virtually any other major MMO out there besides Rift. If I was able to breeze through the gap between CR and NT then I cannot fathom why you evidently found it so difficult, other than to agree with the other poster who said that you are just doing it wrong.

I have 130 lvl 60s. You are stupid. When you have 130 lvl 60s you will be allowed to argue with me. Till then go sit in a corner.

May I suggest you drink your morning coffee? You seem unnecessarily confrontational here.

Entire discussion is moot. Lancers are getting a soloability revamp.
