I wanna punch 90% of the Lancers I've grouped with in the last 24 hours.

Sorry, I know I am generalizing here but I'm just go on with what I experienced in the 24 hours or so....

1. A lancer joined the group, the moment he found there is one person who never did the run before he dropped out from our instance group without saying anything.

2. A lancer was mad that he did not get the roll and dropped out of the group before the group leader changed the roll option.. (within 2 or 3 seconds).

3. A lancer who has 3 DPS in his group, they all kept dying except him, so one of them invited me (a priest) into a group after I rezzed about them multiple times while watching their fight.. The moment I got invited the Lancer said "pls look for another dps, i don't need a healer" ... his group mate response .. "but we do" . ... well I disbanded from the group immediately.

4. A saw a lancer soloing a BAM for about 15 minutes, I offer if I can duo it with him... his response "group is full... go away".

5. The lancer disbanded from the group and jumped his horse and ran away when he got 4/4 BAM kill for the quest while the rest of us still stuck at 3/4

I actually just created a Lancer now to try it out to see why .. is it because they are spoiled from finding the group too easy? is it just my own dumb luck that I encountered all the sh*t heads ? am I being on DragonFall server has anything to do with this?

Me personally I would go out of my way to let people into my group if they needed help. I try to be humble while trying to master my class to the best of my ability ... I'm not a max level yet so for me personally; After an instance run that I have no one died on my watch or somebody saying "great healing" actually means more to me than winning some orange loot.

Lancers dropping out of dungeons annoy me to, and as a priest, I get a decent que time, but it's very frustrating.

and to add to the list
those lancers that have me run from a million adds while they sit in block position, then complain all I have to do is heal and sit around doing nothing. (sad part is I even kite the adds to him)

Not to seem like too much of an [filtered]... But those DPS should learn the fight better. It really is not very hard to learn a BAMs moves seeing as how the lancer already did. No matter who I group with now a days I see other [filtered] DPS that sit there and mash buttons as if it was WoW and then of course die.

I play a Lancer and I try to avoid most of these points. While leveing doing bams I definitely did prefer to solo them, and if we invited a healer I was bummed because I felt cool tanking without heals. Other than that I'm a pretty nice lancer! The only time I ever dropped a group is because they randomly kicked some guy for no reason and I thought they deserved to wait for doing that.

LOL what a joke. You realize lancers do nothing but hold down block 95% of the fight right? They don't memorize the BAM attack timings they just hold down block 95% of the time only popping out for 1 attack here and there on their threat ability.

so far ive only left an instance for 2 reasons.

1) the server reset, and I didnt have a choice in the matter

2) beacuse I suddenly realized the time and after being in the instance for 4 hrs, I need to sleep.

Last night I will admit that I Dodged on an instance after wipe on the first bam, Honestly I was frustrated at the time, the healer rezzed himself after dying in the middle of the fight, so he couldnt get back into the bam fight, The Archer was hitting the Columns when we told him the healer needed to do it, and was killing them WAY before they needed to be.

It was just a really frustrating start to an already frustrating Instance, and honestly i wasn't looking forward to another 4 hr run of an instance that should only take maybe 1-2 hrs at most. Was it my fault we lost to the first bam? I don't know, perhaps, but I didn't lose aggro and we didn't die from the Bam we died from that Stupid wipe, and its not my job as the tank to keep the BAM off you AND kill the Columns at the same time, I already have to shove myself into a wall where I cant see diddly squat or react to what the bam does because of it, now I have to do the Other peoples Jobs to?

So yes, THAT ONE instance run, I was frustrated, and I bailed, and I feel bad enough about it as is because i did want to run that instance, and ended up getting off instead, not only that but I'm sure they weren't happy about it, and don't like to actively go around pissing people off, and If I could apologize to them I probably would, in fact M lancer's name Is Draconess, and if you were bailed on by me last night, then I am sorry for being an [filtered] but it was not my night and I was just not in the mood, but again, im sorry.

anyway, I guess I'm just saying I can understand why maybe a FEW lancers might get a little pissy or something down the line, and I am sorry that MOST of the lancers you seem to come across are such hard asses and jerks, but I would like to think most of them are not all that bad, and maybe they are just caught in a bad mood, and I'd like to count myself as one of the good Lancers, at least I try to be.

That's how you know your BAD Lancers from your good ones. Good one's don't hold their block down so readily, they TIME it. They also work at stuns and interrupts, and they try hard as nails to learn the boss's patterns. Well, I mean ... the GOOD Lancers.

Sounds like the ice tanks I used to run with in DCUO.

Part of this elitism is the reason I decided to roll a warrior and play her as a primary tank. I love playing a class that forces me to do all I can to do my job effectively.

I haven't played for very long, but it sounds like while a lancer is integral to the group, the rest of the group can cover his or her shortcoming so they never learn how to play anything other than adequately.
