I really don't think the issue is lancers OP. A**hats are a**hats they play as every class it is not a lancer specific problem. Also I find in every instance matching the rude player is always from dragonfall, I recommend joining a more polite server. I am not saying everyone from dragonfall is elitist scum, just saying everyone I have encountered was.

Yes I have seen people kick zerkers, warriors, and mystics because of their class. A good party will understand mistakes happen if it is your first run through of a dungeon and will give you good advice, they will also set looting options to class specific and be courteous. I have been in many parties like this so I can not say the entire community is bad.

A bad player will blame everyone but themselves and rage quit the instance when they die then blame the healer. These and the afk are the only people who should be kicked by a good party.

The one problem with tanking atm is once you lose aggro and it starts chasing, say, the healer; it can be really difficult to get it back from them. As Challenging Shout is merely +threat, NOT a true taunt. So when you stop to do a shield slam or shout, they keep running past and then you have to wait for your Charge to come off CD again etc.

Lancers dropping out of dungeons annoy me to, and as a priest, I get a decent que time, but it's very frustrating.

and to add to the list
those lancers that have me run from a million adds while they sit in block position, then complain all I have to do is heal and sit around doing nothing. (sad part is I even kite the adds to him)



This. 100% tank just let a herd of mobs chase you around with healing aggro, doesnt even try to aggro them.

Lancers from my server "Jagged Coast" have been cool. With the exception of one I have encountered, but he wasn't a jerk, he just really really sucked. I think it might be a lot to do with you having bad luck/server.

This is true, but the problem with the few jerk lancers is especially easy to pigeonhole into a generalization. The lancer class is in high demand. Lancers are slow to level, meaning they require a certain level of patience and dedication to reach end-game (unless you have leveling friends to help you do quests faster). Because few groups trust warriors to tank right now and because every group needs a tank, this means that lancers are afforded substantial opportunities to be jerks and get away with it. It would be laughable if a DPS or healer tried to use class abilities as clout. Any of the other classes can be easily replaced. Lancers cannot. This leads to an abundance in jerk lancers simply because lancer is the only class/role combination that can make demands of a group with little worry of repercussions.

If EME ever makes a tank class as viable as the lancer, lancers in general will need the help of the heavens. The jerk lancers are giving you all a bad name. Do yourselves a favor for the future and be nice. The community will return the favor of your courtesy in time.

I found out something funny the other day yeah I hear about these stories about [filtered] lancers and what not but what I did see was DPS class pulling everything they see including bosses before I even could set up fire place to regenerate stamina for more effective HP/fighting and when I stated "You pull, You tank" they started to tell me I'm not doing my job as tank and what not and actually where rude to me rather than other way around up until healer passed me leader when they realize that they better shut up and follow tank to avoid disband or kick... Even though I know both sides as healer and tank and know what means standing in queue to get in instance rather than get instantly in and wouldn't disband group for any reason or even kick ppl unless they pissed me off real bad.

Not to seem like too much of an [filtered]... But those DPS should learn the fight better. It really is not very hard to learn a BAMs moves seeing as how the lancer already did. No matter who I group with now a days I see other [filtered] DPS that sit there and mash buttons as if it was WoW and then of course die.


LOL what a joke. You realize lancers do nothing but hold down block 95% of the fight right? They don't memorize the BAM attack timings they just hold down block 95% of the time only popping out for 1 attack here and there on their threat ability.

If that were true than no one would have cleared a single dungeon at end game.
