Tera's an action-MMO that nails the “action” part and then manages a face-palm-inducing face-plant on all the other bits. Combat moves quickly and feels great, but dirt-dull quests, a generic, disjointed story, repetition, repetition, and repetition ensure that any fun you might stumble across is short-lived. Even grouping to take on colossal, world-roaming boss monsters – initially a thrill few other MMOs can match – eventually grows old due to a lack of variety. Between impressive graphics and flashy battles, Tera has mountains of style. Substance, however, is still sadly lacking.

I'm a member on IGN but any site that gives that atrocity that can't even be called a game Diablo a 9.5 but gives Tera a poor review will no longer be visited by me.

I played the first Diablo and the second one.

I'm playing the third one now, and find it very enjoyable, very reminiscent of the second one, with more of the creepiness of the first one. I happen to love the 'tree-less' skill system. Play with friends, think we were disconnected maybe once? Don't really have any lag problems to speak of, certainly cleaner than the lagging and stuttering we used to get w/ the first two in the series (and don't get me started about Kali and IPX/SPX games).

So...what was so disasterous for you? Did you ever play the other games? Did you not know what it was going to be? It seems to me it's exactly what it should be and was done well.
