All I ask for is to be able to click stuff and interact with the overlay when I get those stupid messages that require you to click yes or no, such as the instance group finding and summoning question. There's been multiple times where I could either finish my story quest way out in the boonies and walk there, or get the free port and truck it all the way back just to turn it in. Jesus it's ridiculous, all I wanted to do was talk to the guy!

if i could change 1 thing it would be the creators of the game, wish they were blizzard using the same engine and art style cause the ui is terrible, a lot of functions are clunky, the traversing between areas juvenile etc...

let's get real, it's the combat and art that gets us playing this game, NOTHING ELSE, id take a 100% wow clone if those 2 things didnt change. this is a message to blizzard, make titan like this and you will rule the world.

p.s. i hate wow, but blizzard as a company is #1

pvp kill list with player run kingdoms where we can rule territories of our guilds and anyone who comes in the territory of the guild can get hunted and killed by that guild.

give us incentives for open world pvp kills and give us good rewards. Keep on building upon open world pvp. This is DEFINITELY a game for it!


not sure why open world pvp gets no love in most games. I did love rifts in Aion though and the fact that I was able to get pvp armor/weapons from my activities. In Tera you get labeled an "Outlaw" which should be renamed "TIme Waster" because, even though playing an mmo you could argue is a huge waste of time, open world pvp in Tera is 100% useless even in the context of mmo's.


To be fair, in Tera PvP, when you PvP someone you're essentially killing a fellow soldier. If anything, Tera is too lenient with PvP. You just murdered fellow soldiers - they should just kill you (NPCs) on sight.

My suggestions to improve Tera:

A server designated RP/PvP

Player housing... with craftable items to customize your home

Kingdoms to be conquered and defended against other players

A search /who for players and guilds

I am loving this game...the main change would be to create a RP/PvP server. Many RPers also enjoy PvP but are forced to choose one or the other to roll on.

one thing you, say...erm, that's a bit hard...

the most immediate quality of life change would be removal of elins and their replacement with an adult animal girl race. something along those lines:

don't complain about the boobies/cleavage as it's a bit hard to find anything non-loli with smaller boobs and i don't really feel like wasting time for that.


currently, i feel that elins, while absolutely not offensive after the sensible western changes, simply don't fit in really well. they are almost immersion breaking, being of that typical cheap japanese loli-hentai-anime style compared to Tera's unique korean character design.



but since it's probably too late for that, i would like to see the immersion factor of the world improved. a single word for some many things:

- richer, deeper, more accessible lore. let me find books and artifacts explaining Tera's past and hinting at the future. create an ingame library - literally, create a library building, similar to Aion's or WoW's museum in Ironforge - to read up on certain races, gods and historically important personas. some cool exibits showcasing some of the most impressive monsters, artifacts, relics, weapons would be a pretty nice touch.

- interesting and memorable lore characters.

- partly voiced boss monsters. not long, boring speeches, but something in the lines of "Haha, FRESH MEAT!" from Diablo or maybe some "Burn, insects!" lines while fighting a badass dragon boss.

-generally, less static NPCs everywhere. especially the instance bosses shouldn't just sit there waiting for you in a single spot. there are some cool boss introsalready, like dragons flying and landing, but there should be a bit more "dynamic entry"-style of appearing on the scene: amagical portal of twisting energy open and some baddass creature slowly pulls it'S limbs through it, while magical winds blast your group away; a boss smashes with a huge shockwave on the ground or groups of monsters suddenly break through walls etc

- locations that are based on lore: vast, fully explorable ruins of past civilizations(giant legacy representation is poorly made, imo, needs way more content), where you find artifacts and maybe remnants of the past glory. such ruings would be a pretty cool background for some seriously epic boss fights

- improvements to world's geometry: i want to explore things i see rather than to hit an invisible wall everywhere. there are a lot of structures that spark great interest while getting a sight of them but in the end they are just decorations and this feels disappointing. let me see Velika from the top of it's buildings, even if just during an ingame-graphics cinematic sequence.
bigger areas that are not based off a series of tunnels wouldn't hurt either.


yep, so much in just a single word "immersion". if that is not "new and shiny" enough, then the last thing:

flying mounts including free targeting based flying mount combat.

the first time i've seen the art for the Sky Garden instance i instantly thought that flying mounts would be an absolutely great addition to Tera. Tera's combat system already supports free aiming, collision checks and collision based attacks - Tera is probably the only MMO currently that would be able to pull off the flght and flight based combar in the right way and visuallystunning on top of that. it only needs folloowing 3 guidelines:

1. flying mounts get their own skills, replacing regular skills while player is mounted.
2. flying mounts are usable only in areas made with flying in mind.
3. there are flight inhibitors(with spherical area of effect) and natural obstacles preventing flying mount usage in areas where players are meant to explore and move around in a "traditional" way.

this is how Sky Garden instance looks like for those who haven't seen it yet:



i would love to see Tera's art team getting to design more of such areas and explore them on the back of a badass dragon. so many possibilities for greatness there...

1. Day and Night Cycle. I can understand where some areas need to be permanently day or night, but *most* areas like all the major cities ought to have some nightlife.


Totally agree helps with immersion. I also really liked, in past games, where the time of day effects certain mob/boss spawns. I am pretty sure Anarchy Online was like this but it has been many moons since I tangled with Funcom.
