Enmasse has been making a lot of changes in Tera for the sake of the Western audience.
Changes that show Enmasse doesn't seem to understand the concept behind Tera, as result it broke the game.
Frogster just copies it and ignores any type of feedback since well it's Frogster.
It's a long read, I've summed it up a bit shorted at the end.
Just taking a closer look.
Crafting
Back in CBT you had a NPC that gave you crafting quests.
This would allow you to craft from 250 to 300 with less expensive materials for example.
As result you could hit 300 crafting relatively cheap and craft your level 50-58 gold armor if you farmed the runes for it.
Currently you have to spend a lot of runes that drop mainly from BAM to level it to 300.
For the average weapon it is like 64 a 2 points, also take into account that is up to 300 the level 58
craftables which are on pair with instance drops require a higher crafting level.
By the time you got those materials there is no point in making the armor since quests reward will
Simply put In Korea Tera these quests where meant to make crafting more viable.
Back in CBT a lot of new players wasted their materials on getting from 50-100 on these quests.
Enmasse instead of looking at the bigger picture or releasing a guide removed these quests making it nearly impossible to level crafting.
Alchemy
You can't level it past 300 since Enmasse removed the world drops.
No response why they did it but well there you go.
Not sure what else they removed from world drops.
They removed lucky eggs to make alchemy viable yet broke alchemy.
Lucky eggs
These where basically the quest rewards for high level instances/end game BAM farming.
They gave something extra , in the end it was a small reward.
How ever Enmasse considered them to make alchemy not viable.
Even though lucky eggs don't drop most items that you can make with alchemy.
Instead of adjusting this they decided to remove it all together.
Making a lot of quests now pointless and removing basically a little reward from the game.
The removal of eggs just shows they had no idea what they where doing.
They could have removed the potions for example.
Boxes of mischief.
A lot of gems you find are useless, no matter how you twist or turn it.
No one will ever use these gems, yet they are their to make the loot table bigger.
The boxes where your second chance to get something good.
Just another extra, again these where removed with out giving anything in return.
As result you can now vendor these gems.
Training grounds
Training grounds provide you with craft able drops and master glyphs, they are essential for the content.
If you release the queen of argon patch with all things you have to release this as well.
Other wise you might as well kept us at 58 until you had a working patch.
Dye
Of all things they could change they chose not to do it here.
The dye that allows you to pick a colour lasts 1 day unless you're lucky on a proc.
The materials required are insane for this.
Why could you not just make dye permanent?
Templates:
Koreans have all templates from the shop, we don't.
Why was this removed.
Pet shops:
Currently the AH is all about control again.
Pet shops could have broken that.
I understand why they have been removed, but again they haven't tried any good solution for it.
Like forcing people to put them in a row at certain areas.
Exp gain and end game:
Tera has a lot of leveling content yet they give you so much exp that you end up being 60 in no time.
This gives me the impression that Tera is all about end game since you as developer made the journey short.
They removed BG's, Nexus are not working on Tera Eu and Tera has 5 hard modes and 2 normal instances.
When you hit 58 you can do Ebon Tower, how ever at 58 you get in the next quest zone items that are much better from killing 6 bears.
With in 1-2 days you will hit 60 and now will do the same instance as hard mode.
It's still fresh in your memory .
In other words there aren't a lot of new dungeons in Tera, yes hard modes of the same instances you just did before.
While providing a challenging it just isn't a lot of meat for a game that is 1 year +old.
It's a bit late to nerf the exp gain, but it was incredibly stupid to allow people to hit end game so fast with out having a lot of it.
A lot of fun little gimmicks have been removed from Tera.
The little things that add charm to the game and in some cases where essential.
Enmasse hacked in Tera to adjust it to the Western audience but ended up unbalancing the game.
Profession and quest rewards are now broken, the loot table is bloated and people can't recycle things.
Big part of content is missing and well it looks like a total mess.
A lot of things that should have been fixed where ignored yet things that could have been left alone had to be changed.
My suggestions/short version
1: Bring back the lucky eggs and just adjust the potions from them, make them drop some other random stuff.
Add some vanity items to the loot table and people have a reason to farm
2: Bring back the crafting quests, BH put them their for a reason.
You failed to understand that and broke crafting so fix it
3: Add the training grounds
4: Bring back the boxes of mischief
5: Adjust the loot in the 58 instances
6: Add all templates to the game, just like on Korea
7:Fix crafting so the recipes drop again
8: Rework the elin censor, extend the armors so they cover up and still look good.
Fix also the clipping issue with some hair models for human/Castanic/High elf
9: This is only for Frogster, stop ************ censoring the game and fix the damn servers.
The lag in level 60 instances is atrocious and just gives us all the blood and gore back.

- Reason: Removed a part about Elin censorship.
It's not really important to discuss it and causes the topic to derail.
Thanks every one for keeping it civil.
