Most MMO General Discussion forums on launch are poison, and usually stay that way a lot.
The people who are enjoying themselves tend not to post much if at all.
These forums are a form of entertainment. They should be considered nothing more.
In agreement with all 3 posts so far. Word is, don't take all you read here seriously this early into a games release.
It won't get any better either. Malcontents flock to the forums of all games.
If you're new here? Use some discernment when reading and enjoy the game the way you want to.
But what if the things people say are true?
What has been heard cannot be unheard.
Hanging out on a General Discussion forum is like hanging out in a cable companies' customer service call center.
No one goes there to talk about how much they love Game of Thrones or Big Bang Theory, they just complain about their experience.
I think people seem to confuse general discussion with off topic/rants/leaving sections that are standard on most forums. What they need to do is add these subforums and move/lock anything that would apply to them and is posted in general discussion. This would probably clear up alot of forum space and generally make GD worth reading instead of avoiding like the plague.
I am having a lot of fun with the game so far. Most of the people who I play with don't even bother with the forums, as it would take away from time in-game. I tend to agree, but I have some moments where I can read but not login. I rarely post on any game forum, but felt I should chime in here. Tera is a beautiful game, and the combat feels really fresh for the genre. I didn't have a lot invested in the development or beta, but I am glad I heard about this game when I could get in early. I probably won't even bother with GW2 or D3 at this point.
