Instance queuing times....

there's probably a topic on this already but this is just getting beyond annoying now, im really enjoying this game or well at least this was the case until i was unable to progress my character any further due to instance matching taking hours and hours....

i have been stuck on level 56 for almost a weeks now as i just cannot get into "skygarden" as a slayer. i need to get in there to be able to complete a mission and cary on but instead im stuck with no missions left in my journal and find my self coming on the game everyday wasting 2 hours to get into the instance.

something needs to be done about the whole tank class issue and fast as my patience is starting to fade.


firstly the warriors need to be able to que as tank ( i klnow its in the works but it shouldnt have been an issue to begin with)

i also think that berserkers should have been able to tank. just give them a few aggro and pulling abilities and happy days

But if you make 3/8 classes tanks, 2/8 classes healers, it would lead to a massive shortage of DPS.

If warriors/zerkers can tank as well as lancers, and output much greater DPS, who would roll as lancer?


Yes, this current situation needs to be addressed, but giving DPS classes couple taunts and call them "tanks" is not the solution...

believe me there will never be a shortage in dps. also there are currently 5 dps classes which is the main cause of the problem, why there is only 1 tank class 2 healer and 5 dps is beyond me. usually games try to drive you from being a dps as too many people like to role a dps which causes imbalance in the game but it seems this game is encouraging people to be a dps :/

I want to say this logic is false. Most players will roll DPS. Look at WoW(saw that coming didnt you). The game that has 4 tanks, 3 healers, and like 4 true dps classes. Tanks and healers were still in shortage. I think most people prefer to play DPS.

Perhaps I'm just old-schooled, but I think every class should focus on one thing and one thing only.

Let the actual tank do the tanking, healer do the healing, etc...


I rather have specialized classes that are spectacular at one thing, than a bunch of hybrid classes that are competent at everything...

I have the opposite problem on my lancer. Last night I wanted to do some quests while waiting in queue, but couldn't because I got pulled into an instance as soon as I clicked "Find Group".

Warriors need to be allowed to queue as tanks so that lancers can get a few quests done.

i have been doing that but unfortunately the LFG channle is just become nothing but spam atm (dragonfall) people talking about what they had to eat last night and how guy A is going to Rape Guy B's mom....

its just a joke :/ i actually had to disable it and make a new tabk for lfg as it just spames my chat log with no relavent stuff that i couldnt care less about lol

In SWTOR only 2 of 8 ACs are pure DPS, yet tanks and healers are still the bottleneck. The difference is that there you can usually persuade someone to respec after waiting for a while, here you just have to keep waiting until a lancer feels like playing.

Just because a class is capable of doing more than one thing doesn't mean they can at the same time. A warrior can't effectively tank and DPS, the crystals are different, the stance is different, the abilities used are different, and later on the equipment bonuses are different.
