Generally, bandwidth doesn't matter.

Bandwidth is refering to data transfer, he is asking about a rate.

@TS: I would recommend having at least 5-10Mbps down/1-2Mbps up, this is common in my area in the cheaper internet ranges.

More is obviously better.

K Im getting near 11 Mpbs. So I guess I have to have the company come out and figure out why my ping is so sparadic. Shouldnt be being wired directly in should it?

They always say it's on your end so they don't have to admit fault.

lol

Sorry but you may want to read up on wikipedia a bit more.

Again, generally, bandwidth does. not. matter. If you have 1mbps right on top of an internet backbone you will have better performance than 99% of people with 100mbps.

Preferably you want <50ms> for united states.

I'm running 6mps...not the best speed but it's cheap. I have Powerline AV cause my router is downstairs. I get a good connection(if no one else is taking my bandwidth)
