I've been watching some videos and talking to people recently, and have come to the realization that a lot of the options are tied together. Does anyone know if the current character creator is the final version or if is EME planning on improving it by doing stuff like separating like hairstyle and horns from each other, and the other options that are bound together

no one really knows, i mean people always want more customization and its nice but i mean if there are bigger thing to do. Like FIXING THIS FORUM!!! they will probbly do that. My guess is i doubt there will be any new customization added as of now maybe in the future.
True, 'no one really knows,' but lets take a common sense approach to the idea. It is basically the same character creation that we saw in the Korean version, so we know nothing has been changed since the game's original Korean development. I think we could all expect that if they had intended on changing it, they would have likely had it ready by the NA Beta, which they clearly didn't do.
So my guess is they have no intentions of changing it.
Clearly, the developers would want to give us as many options as they could, so it is reasonable to suspect that making say, every human male beard be an option on every human male face, and all other 'tied' options like that, would take a great deal of time, either editing the art assets, or changing the programming. Since both of these would likely be time consuming and it is a non-pressing issue, since as it actually is, the character creator works just find, I would guess we won't see it altered any time soon, if ever.
I agree with you though, Sanova, I was rather disappointed myself when I realized so much of the creation options were tied to certain faces. Even though the characters look great, it is an extremely limiting method of creation, and probably one of the worst implementations I've seen of an MMO character creator. But it ultimately doesn't have a massive impact on my decision to buy the game, other than the way it works being an incredible disappointment.
Even if they couldn't separate the horns/tails and whatnot, I don't see why they just didn't make more default variations involving all the combinations for us to choose from. Oh well.
Maybe one day if it's suggested enough times. Forever optimistic.
I would like them to give us more options. Would be nice if we got it in some future patch but who knows honestly. As for the forums, they likely have a different team for that, a web team devoted to the forums and only the forums. :P
BHS I know said they will prob add more, we will have to wait for now would rather them refine more of the PvE and PvP before anything else
Things can change, but don't be surprised if it's not high on BHS's priority list.
A lot of things can be improved, but a lot of things NEED to be improved first.
There have been gripes about the character creator for a long while now.
I'm sure it's an issue that's being heard, and most likely going to be revamped, but not until well, well after launch.
