It's not so much an argument, so much as the result stemming from the frustration of realizing that greedy companies will win, because enough gamers are self centered, ignorant, and thoughtless enough to actually thank companies for ripping them off, and attacking those who refuse to stand for it. Then gather around and imagine all the different kinds of stuff they can pay more money for.

This board is chock full of kids, who refuse to understand why these shops are insulting, because they have tons of disposable income and little value for their dollar and refuse to consider anything En Masse does as wrong.
Not just accepting the concept, but actually thanking them for it, enjoying it, and even fighting to maintain it, and fighting their fellow gamers who are trying to save everyone money. It's f****ing insane.

It's the realization that this game has too many idiots supporting the shop and that our worst enemy as gamers, is OTHER gamers.

It probably doesn't matter what we say. These people LOVE wasting their money. They're the same fools, who happily shelled out hundreds or thousands a month to Perfect World for slightly faster mounts, and would love to bring that same moronic ideal to this game.

I agree with you FiachSidhe, that gamers are wanting to defend this company and their tactics. Sadly, that's just going to happen. People want to pay more money for what they're paying for. Good news is, the MMO market is one the most competitive markets I've seen in gaming. There are so many other games coming around the corner. Games that look to other games and adjust to offer them better. Competitive games. Like Rift and their free server transfers.

I don't want EME to fall into a category as an example MMO. I want it to be better. We all do. However, those that want things to stay the same aren't going to switch their position because they want to be right, and feel that they are. That's fine too.

Agreed. I want to see the game do well. If En Masse wants to go the greedy route, they're going to do it. Luckily as you said, there are alternatives.
