I mean I encountered it here and there but it doesn't matter what I do, I take damage...big time.

49 Warrior. I can move wherever I want and still take damage from most of these mobs. The naga serpents are the worst but the fat gula creatures do the same. The naga serpents regular attack is only dodgable if your running DIRECTLY to your left. And in order to continue dodging the attack you must only get 1 attack in at a time and it has to be timed right. If its not, you get hit no matter where you run.

I find that really stupid. Because Im WAY under the sword and sometimes even behind the damn creature. No part of his body is close to touching me yet Im still hit?

And more hallways with monsters you HAVE to fight because if not you will end up with 6+ big creatures in one small room. Please more of that!

Yeah, Im starting to get frustrated. I mean some monsters here and there is one thing but this whole is designed to be ignorant. I guess they just gave up trying to fix it.

A class based around dodges and not getting hit gets his [filtered] handed to him. Literally its a 25% chance to hit if I run to my left without stopping. Not to mention Im loving the monsters now who run after I hit Pounce >Traverse Cut > Blade Draw. They walk/run clean out of Traverse Cut.

Sigh...I wish Torchlight 2 would come out. I really dont want to have to sink to getting D3. I like this game pretty well but if your going to base it around ACTION combat, at least have it make sense.

Maybe it's a timing issue? I was able to dodge the bigger attacks and just let myself get hit on the smaller ones.

You can run between some of the mobs and draw only 2 at a time by dodging into a room.

Noting too, my perspective is from a slayer. I did some tactical retreats on some points, focusing my fast attacks to knock down and quickly end 1 mob, then dash away so my CDs would reset and I could kill again.

Hurr, let's make it so the AI randomly runs away for no reason whenever you use any move that doesn't give traveling space.

I can roll between the attacks and use Death from Above to dodge out, but If Im fighting one, I will still end up hit by an attack that does 2K. If I accidentally drag two (by accidentally I mean just run/hop/skip/jump down the hallway) into a side room, now I am dealing with two.

I don't mind a challenge. I don't ask for buffs or nerfs to classes. I just want the game to treat its mechanics how they are described. The sword windup is behind his head. It swings from top right down to bottom left. Im standing UNDER the damn sword by 3-4 feet difference and still get hit. Come on man.....

I really enjoyed the game so far and have plenty of alts I wanted to level, but this crap grinds my gears.

A lot of mobs start to have a 2-3m range once you hit 50...

Some of the caster AoEs at 60 can generate a 360 attack (for multiple hits and kd) from up to 8m away.

Dagon Temple and Eldritch Academy are the worst inside areas if you have no healer or just hate losing HP due to bad mechanics or way too fast respawns.

Yes, there is a bit of that in game where it looks like the attack should have missed you, but it still hits you. I haven't found it too much of an issue though and I play a level 59 warrior.

As for monsters actually dodging out of the way? I say that's a good thing, sure its annoying sometimes, but it's annoying in a challenging sort of way; the monsters don't just stand there and take it like a [filtered].

The biggest thing that annoys me though is when you stand near a boss it can just randomly hit you (the under its feet staggering thing, but usually I'm no where close to being under its feet and actually standing about 3-5 meters away from it). This can make it hell playing a warrior as I have had some cases where I couldn't even touch the enemy BAM or boss because anytime I got within 3 meters of it I would just go into a stagger that would last long enough to take like 50% of my health away. I can understand when the boss is visibly running over you (like actually stepping on you) and moving, but when its just standing there this sometimes happens.

The crabs do that to me. 5-6 feet outside its range of stepping and dat dat dat dat dat dat dat.....really?

Im guessing I have yet to visit the Eldritch Academy. I just skipped the last 4-5 quests in Dagons. I may try to do SA before saying **** this region. It takes alot to make me mad but it did it. I dodge and tank pretty damn well but when they put you in a position to get hit and there is nothing you can do about it, that defeats the purpose for me.

I dunno about the running away. They will run clean through my attacks and through my character 5-6 feet away. Making me waste mana, and CD. I glyphed Pounce to hit faster so I could imagine Traverse Cut not even hitting them if they keep it up. The game lacks a true stagger for enemies. Certain moves should stagger the **** out of an enemy....and they don't.

As far as the 2-3 meter range, I understand that. There were several along the course that you had to run outside the attack range. One in particular I can remember is an orc enemy. You could dodge the first hit in the regular combo but had to immediately move the opposite way right after to have a shot of dodging the second. Literally an AoE of 360 in melee range with 2 second animation and 3 meters + range.

It hasn't bothered me that much up until this dump though. I may see what the next land brings for my warrior. This place just really turned me off from leveling my zerk/priest/sorc alts.

its not supposed to be piss easy. Mobs are there to KILL you. I guess you're used to the easier mobs but I welcome the challenge. Also, I ran Dagon's temple at 48, and re ran it at 49 for the story. I didn't die except for the one time I got ganked lol
