I like cash shop items for cosmetic stuff - i don't mind it. I want glasses, if there is glasses for even 15 bucks and i keep them for good - it'd be a instant buy.
That is not a cash shop. Those are simply added services provided by the game IF a player wants to use those. They have NO bearing on how the game is played. World of Warcraft has had all those available for purchase for years.
Come on folks, stop trolling and trying to start issues when there are none.
I never really enjoyed cash shops, even just cosmetic ones. The thing is, if I see something I like in a cash shop I know I can't have it. Not because I have no money, but because it automatically makes that item look silly in game. It makes me so self-conscience. Like I'm standing int he middle of town screaming "hey I spent ten dollars on a virtual pair of glasses for my virtual character."
Sure, you spend 15$ a month on a game, but that's an entire month of play time. Even nerds know ten dollars for one virtual item is a rip-off.
I want the items in game however if a cash shop is ever in tera i will be very pissed. I am paying 15 a month so I want everything in the game. I don't want to be nickled and dimmed out of everything that just pisses me off.
Cash shop = I'm bailing
I am fed up with cash shops and want at least one game that doesn't sink that low.
What's so bad with having a cash shop that sells glasses that are just for looks and a few mounts?
If I remember correctly even WoW had some cash shop mounts and pets, but it didn't even matter since you could acquire so many other mounts/pets in game with in game gold.
I'd rather not have a gold shop (other than for the chrono scrolls.)
