Dear NA community,

A group of us from the EU side of TERA were wondering if/when Kelsaik Hard Mode was first killed in NA. We are just wondering since it would be nice to compare the process and achievements and also share tips/tactics with those who killed the boss.

We currently kill the boss almost every try but it might be worth discussing the fight with others who have bested the beast.

Randomly, any idea what the drop rate of the Zebra mount is? We got 3 in 3 kills and then no more.

As far as I can tell, everyone avoids Kelsaik's Nest (even normal mode) like the plaque. I tried to get a group to do the campaign and everyone kept telling me just to skip it >_>

Gratz on your kill Deioth, I saw the video Alleriya posted. As for the actual kill, I have no clue, since I rarely see people run it, and I know it takes a dedicated group of players to kill it. PUGs will have trouble even with easy mode.

why talk about kelsiak nest hm when there are lots of ppl having problems doing it at normal (lvl58 dungeon?)

imo, why is it so difficult to complete for a lvl58 dungeon for the story line?

most lvl60s would rather farm fane and bt then to complete this retard stpryline quest.

is this on the dungeon finder?

After seeing how garbage his drops were in normal mode I'm surprised people bothered with hard mode. Aside from the Zebra what equips does Kelsaik drop on hard mode?

Because most players are bad. Thats why they can't do it. I'm still looking for a lancer/healer who can do it. Been looking for 4 weeks now...

The problem with normal mode is that you have to do Ebon Tower (Normal Mode ONLY) to get an item which stuns Kelsaik and prevents an instant death. The drops are equivalent to HM Labyrinth of Terror, HM Ebon Tower, NM Fane of Kaprima, and NM Balder's Temple, which you can rotate between with no downtime.

Hard Mode Kelsaik is a different story. Hard Modes of Fane of Kaprima, Balder's Temple, and Kelsaik have a 6 hour lockout period. If you have done Fane and Balder's already, your next boss to work on and kill would be Kelsaik. Probably for no other reason than crafting mats and enchanting fodder, but with the lockout time and the fact that T13 loot only reliably drops in 3 hard mode dungeons, Hard Mode Kelsaik is well worth it. Needz dat fodder.

Nevermind the fact that it would probably be the most satisfying kill in the game.

If there is a way to prevent the instagib move without the torch, I would love to learn about it.
