Seriously this needs to be adjusted, its the stupidest mechanic they have, and is the vain of melee classes fighting bams be it group or in a party.

95% of my deaths to bam's is because it decided its gonna run around and tag me 10 ish times or so for 1k damage a pop... and then Knock me down multiple times. Throw in the fact that the BAM is generally faster than you (Especially when angered) and your screwed.

I like the mechanic, makes fighting them challenging and makes sure you keep proper positioning.

However still a lot of them are really easy to solo...should be harder.

Melee classes are great for solo'ing BAMs once you learn to play them, I play strictly melee and don't have much difficulty, only a few BAMs can be quite nasty.

what lvl are you... its easy at first...

Humans should not be able to kill insects simply by stepping on one and should actively hunt for them instead with special abilities like Shoot Gun and Spray Pesticide.

I've shared the frustration of the OP. The problem is mostly when the BAM's attack pattern oddly defaults to 'advance, advance, advance, advance'.

It's an odd irony that the biggest threat some of them pose is the fact that simple movement does more damage than most of their attacks, it isn't telegraphed, and classes without range or a block don't really have countermeasures to spare against it.

In the worst cases, there aren't really any angles to approach a moving BAM without getting pulled under.

It's a good mechanic. If you can't stand the feet, go back to your old tab targetting game. :p
