My problem with this particular BAM "move" is that most of the time it seems completely unintentional. It's like the AI decided it was either confused about where it wanted to stand or it made a decision to adjust its position because it was struggling with a targeting or line of sight issue.
The problem here is that it doesn't come across as an attack or intentional maneuver (like some of the other methods a BAM uses to shift its location or position). And rather than leaving me thinking "oh, the BAM just did something cool", I instead end up thinking "oh, the game just had brain-fart and I received arbitrary damage over it. Hooray.".
BAMs leaping/flying around, or whipping a tail in a damaging swipe as they spin to a new heading = cool and immersive battle. BAM shuffling around aimlessly because it got confused on a slope or some former move trapped me underneath it = I'm playing a game with minor AI issues and just took unjustified damage because of it. Needless to say, the latter adds to the frustration rather than the fun.
