Can they not redo the queue in matchmaking and make it show as a countdown (like in chat support) so you can give your own estimate on how long you need to wait and if you want to stay queued up or not?

I think this is a completely valid request. Many times I've seen players, namely DPS (due to their obscenely long queues) "join group" and are afk, which leads to them being kicked. I think you'll find many people will tell you on here that you should just expect a minimum 20-30 minute wait time, but your request still makes sense. Maybe you're on during peak and don't realize it, and queue times drop, or maybe just because people don't feel like playing during that day (for whatever reason) your queue times are showing even longer (2-3 hours).

It would be helpful, even if it wasn't very accurate, to display some sort of timer. I agree. I also feel they should have a countdown timer when you leave combat for the 120 second rule, but that's for another thread.
