Cross server RUINS community. Dungeon finder IF ONLY on a Pve server. No dungeon finder on a Pvp server It RUINS O-Pvp.

Am I the only one who dislikes a dungeon finder tool? Or, more specifically, cross server dungeon finders? It only leads to impersonal interaction in dungeons and people sitting in the city all day waiting on queues to pop. WoW servers were much more personal and close knit before the dungeon finder. Now people sit in queue running dungeons all day and don't give a damn about who's on their server, nor what's outside the city. I hope this is different with the political system in place, but I prefer interactions between people on my servers.

Next, people will want welfare epics, because, you know... we don't like to work for anything.

Naw I feel the same. I personally don't like cross server interaction but I won't fault anyone who does.

What don't like at all is insta teleporting. We need mmo's to go back to their roots and actually force people to go out into the world. You see enough complaining from the same people who will use it if they can. I won't fault them for it, if a game makes it easy people will use it. I hope this one single element of that doesn't reach NA.

The problem with not having it cross server is that tanks and healers are usually hard to find and I know before WoW had the cross server LFD, healers and tanks were actually charging money to join groups and enter dungeons. Was stupid. Having it cross server eliminates that completely. Everyone that wants to play, Qs up and you get matched up with people from wherever.

Healers and tanks still are able to charge today. That problem was addressed by giving tanks and healers extra incentive to queue alone by giving them a chance at rare mount drops and other goodies. It did not work at all. Tanks/heals continue to be able to charge for groups.

At your original post Ciaphas, there was once a time when most of the people on the planet thought the earth was flat and that you could fall off if you went in one direction too far. Just because large numbers of idiots want something implemented into the game does not make it a good idea for the game.

I only support server isolated LFG, cross server lfg killed the WoW community when i was still playing it. Sure you will still have guilds but it's alot different

Back in the day, when you were having a blast with some random people you got for a PUB, you would all add each other to your friends list and stay in contact. Now it's like, "Oh that was the last boss, nice run" And you never see that person again >.<.

Cross server makes it better, more players in the Q = faster groups. Sorry I'm not into waiting around to complete content anymore. And I don't feel that it ruins the community on a server, it just makes the community alot bigger. Also you can Q as a group, so if you and your bud/pug that you meet out in the open, can Q together. Its a basic QOL thing and every modern MMO has it, or will have it in the future. All the masochists who want to spam chat, can still do that, just don't expect to get much response.

I have nothing against in-server LFG tools.

Cross-server LFG tools is terrible for the community. This has been proven correct in every game who has done it.

How about you make friends and join a guild and stop needing PUGs, Ciaphas? Start playing it like an MMO RPG, rather than a single-player RPG?

Then you wouldn't have an issue with ANY wait time, whatsoever.

Without having it cross server, people will still have to spam chat, defeats the whole purpose of having a LFD tool.
