LFG Tool is a must

Possible solution:

- LFG works on PVE servers (carebears will instantly move to their farming grounds and be happy);

- LFG doesn`t work on PVP servers (hardcore players prefer to travel around for fresh meat and gank each other in the open world).

i`m sure it`ll be easy to arange such server rules.

I and others have suggested that as well, keep that garbage to Pve servers. With that said we will now get Pve-ers that will tell you that they don't want It either. It's less of a problem though on a Pve server.

People aren't listening.

It isn't just PVP players who don't want cross-server dungeon finders. Experienced players from both rulesets are against them.

Some don`t get the point of the suggestion.
PVE players are more interested in such auto-LFG feature, since they are here for mobs, not some social interactions. You can argue about it, but this is true: auto features kill social part and turn you into a carebear zombie.
PVP players are there for social dramas with real players, they want to hear their enemy scream in the chat after the battle, they want to hunt and gank their enemies. They don`t really care about mobs that much. And auto-LFG kills their PvP experience in the open world.

So adding different rule sets for different servers may be a solution.

Your problem lies in the ambivalence you have towards PvE servers. Garbage should be put where in the bin where it belongs, and the LFG tool is garbage. The same reasons you don't want it on a PvP server still apply to PvE servers and if Half the player base isn't building any social connections within the game then half the subscriptions will drop.

I feel its probably obvious what happens if half the subscriptions drop, but for the sake of clarity it means less of a quality game for you or potentially no game at all.

Socially It HURTS both server types correct, but It's a double whammy for Pvp servers since It kills O-Pvp and such. It's NOT Good In either case I would agree. I am just stateing It will hurt one server type more then the other. If Pve-ers don't want It either then that Is great and I hope that they don't have to deal with It either.

LordSteel, that's so ignorant.

"I'll be playing on a PVP server, so I don't care what happens on PVE servers...put all the garbage mechanics in their server, so I don't have to deal with it."

If it's a garbage mechanic, just get rid of it completely. PVE-players don't want it either...but we're not advocating it gets slid over onto PVP servers. I can't believe you don't go "hmm, is this a really dumb and ignorant thing to say?" before you hit the reply button...

@Polarium, it's incredibly sad that you just pigeon-hole all PVE players by saying they don't care about social interaction and it doesn't matter if a mechanic kills social community, because what PVE players want is to become carebear zombies...

This is actually your defense for having it on PVE servers?

Do you guys have ANY self-awareness? Holy [filtered].

KILL THIS WITH FIRE.

If it's garbage, toss it in the garbage, don't push it over onto a server you don't care about. How incredibly selfish and self-absorbed.

Ever spent 2 hours spamming LF1M healer for 5-man scholo before the rest of your group got tired and left?

No, because I learned how to make friends in an MMO.

A drop in subscriptions would be a drop in quality, but the thing is that a lack of a strong LFG tool hurts subscriptions. The "hardcore" audience may get upset and leave, but they are mostly insignificant. Casuals pay the bills. The issue is that you assume people will make friends and do dungeons with their new found buddies if they don't have a LFG tool, but it doesn't work like that. If I have to bend over backwards and spend hours to find people to group with, then I just won't waste my time and go to another game that caters to me. Even when I do find a group through chat spam, I don't get more attached to them because of it. I talked just as much with my SWTOR groups as I did with my WoW dungeon finder pugs.

Bravo, +1000. Making friends (and enemies) requires skill too, carebears lack it mostly.

Dude, do you actually think, that PVE players will be unhappy with the auto-LFG? Don`t lie to yourself, carebears are too lazy to run around the world, they want to instantly farm, get new shiny stuff and get back to the warm safe city where they can hail each other for killing another epic mob. So try to be reasonable and don`t argue about obvious things in a rude manner.
