Lack of black characters

There isn't a whole lot of lore behind most of the races that supports why they look the way they look. Elves could have been butch if BHS wanted to portray them that way. Why are we talking like the High Elves don't live in the middle of a desert anyway? Allemantheia is literally situated in the center of a desert.

The bigger problem with current customization options is that some of them are actually rather piss poor. High Elves are extremely lacking: a bunch of pale skin hues and pale blond/silver hair colors, with only 3 darker hair colors that are, ironically, darker than anything the Human's have access to. In fact, Humans have most fairly pale hair colors as well. Likewise, the Elin only have a pale selection of skin colors (the exact same palette the Elves use, in fact.) However, the Elin share the same hair colors as the Castanics, which includes a wide spectrum of colors that would make any Human or Elven character green with envy.

This.
And why not be able to make a human with some weird skin tone, like purple? Maybe I'm role playing, and goes along with my story. Maybe I just like purple. More options couldn't hurt.

It's tough enough already that we have to deal with these retarded Ellins, last thing we need is purple Humans or blue Elves.

Please tell me where in this games lore. NOT jr Tolkien's lore that they cant be this way. And its such an wasy fix. Why complain

Because they're not like humans who flourish in any environment, and they don't originate from a HOT PLACE.

Please. there isn't skin-color diversity in the real-world human race just because God wanted to mess around with his PANTONE marker. There should be a REASON why races look like they do, even if they are fantasy races. If not, the universe is just shallow and senseless.

enough reason for you?

EDIT: oh, and by "reason", I mean IN-WORLD reason. "players want a black high elf" is not a valid reason.

umm no purple humans.. although one of the "black" options is purple. Lol.
Elves ,human, and too a lesser degree elin are meant to be human relatable unlike the beasty races
Thats why they should be in human skin tones. For instance gw2 has a race based off vikings who are all white. But they added black skin tones to not leave anyone out.

But they're cute! And have furry ears! :)

Blue elves... I could make an ice witch or something!

What about hair choice then? Do you have to have the ability to grow a 70's style AFRO?

I am not a racist by any means. But, I will tell you that I am pretty sick and tired of social agendas, and minority inequalities, being argued at every turn - when it comes to meaningless situations.

It is a game. Is it really necessary to bring up the fact that you are of African decent, and want to be able to recreate your own personal skin color on every race available?

I am all for supporting diversity, and the equal rights of minorities in the real world. I take it pretty seriously, because I have a Mexican wife, and 2 of my best friends are Black.

But fight the good fight my man somewhere where it matters. In the workplace.

It's easy for u to say. Imagine if the game had all african looking people and u only had 2 options to make white characters. People would be pissed.

and this really isnt a political topic. I just want to make a character that represents me in a fantasy setting. I personally love the elves

in this game. They are sooo g a y and i love it. I just want to be black. Lol. Thats all. Why argue against diversity. And the claim that its lore breaking is a silly excuse. Please tell me where in this games lore. NOT jr Tolkien's lore that they cant be this way. And its such an wasy fix. Why complain

I'm not so against the idea of having more choices avaiable for character customization. If that happens to be more minority representation on the character customization page - awesome. What irks me more about this, is your post.

It is the fact that you felt the need to complain about what you feel to be a racial oversight, in a fantasy world setting meant simply for entertainment.

There are so many real world platforms for you to express these concerns in a constructive and productive manner. I pay attention to every one of them in the real world, and support the cause of not only African Americans and Latinos, but also Homosexual and Transgender.

Is that going to be the next issue that comes up on one of these threads?

I want to make a Male character, that has breasts and facial features of a female? Just to satisfy the Transgenders that want to play this game?

NO! I don't want to discuss these topics in a gaming forum meant for entertainment, and has NO BEARING on real world equality and racial issues.

So for what it is worth, I am just stating my opinion on your thread here. I have no desire to debate or be an activist for these important issues on such a silly platform. Get past it, or don't play the game. Save your energy for a meaningful cause.
