Lancer bullying = Bannable offense?

I got into a random que today for level 60 dungeon. Lancer opens up the greetings with "kick zerk or I'm not tanking"

With a few sorries I was removed from group. This is sad and pathetic that players can do this because of the 1-2 hour wait for a Lancer. Another time I was kicked and than told I was the 2nd person a guy did it to. Both times I didn't think right away to report the Lancer.

In my opinion players acting like this should receive an immediate high tier punishment such as 48 hour-week ban from play. Does anyone have any insight on TERA's policy?

It should be a bannable offense, it would keep some lancers from being such douche bags... :T Seriously, they can just run the same instance again if they don't get their gear.

Mean lancers giving us nice lancers a bad nameee

Such doucherie must stop. Seriously what is their problem. Freaking greedy player. We love to team with a berserk me and my husband (Mystic/Lancer) we have no issue with them.

I don't think it's a banable offence but it is very lame to do that. To anyone.

Friend the good lancers and run with guild members. It should get better when they make warrior tanking more viable in the future. I don't see why they don't throw a few tanking abilities the zerker's way. They wear metal. 3 tanking classes sounds about right instead of 1 and a half

I know it sucks to get kicked from the group with no reason other than the tank didn't want you, but if you're going to play a DPS class you have to make peace with the fact that you will never be a commodity and that goes for pretty much every MMO. There will ALWAYS be a ton of people eager and willing to take your place the second you're not in it. 'Tis the plight of the DPS classes.

I know it's harsh, but if you don't want to deal with being the low man on the totem pole there really aren't many other options than playing a tanking role or a healing/support role. It's all part of the social aspect of the game.

Now, as for whether or not so-called "Lancer Bullying" (lol) should be a bannable offense, I couldn't disagree more. It's the tanks right as a tank (because they are rare in every MMO) to be a bit of a douche. Because he's fulfilling a role that requires more attention and dungeon knowledge he's rewarded with the ability to make some decisions. Same goes for healers.

The bottom line is this, if you want to play DPS, get used to going with the flow for the most part. However, if you prefer to lead, then you'd be better off tanking or healing. DPS will never be a commodity because it requires less attention and accountability than both tanking and healing.

And for the record, I play neither a tank nor a healer. I play Slayer.

What a truly aristocratic response. The DPS peasants dare question their betters? Bah!

Stories like this piss me off, I always vote before I kick someone that is usually after waiting till getting to a first boss which I believe is a fair amount of time. This is also after getting no verbal response from them.

I honestly try to be a team player and as nice as can be since I hear stories like this. Yes I would prefer to be the only heavy there so that gear goes to me but deep down I feel everyone else is the same. BUT I do not mention that nor do I kick them because i truly enjoy doing instances.

I am sorry you continue to run into such lancers but I assure you, not all of them are so heartless and take so much advantage for their rare presence.

You're right, but it doesn't make my post any less true. Think of it this way, hot women can roll through life easily without education, money, or anything of true value, really, if they so desire. Why is this? Because beautiful women are a rarity and as such are treated better. Admittedly, a very vein example, but it's not a bad one.
