Is it just me, or do other lancers have trouble blocking things?

I'm not talking about taking more damage than your shield can handle, im talking about your block just not working in the first place even though you've pressed the key.

At first I thought my right mouse key was broken, as thats the default block key, but since i changed the key to Q, i can still press the key and nothing'll happen till i press it a few times :/ And even then the cooldown triggers sometimes and you gotta wait it out.

Also they should have something come up when you're blocking, just so you know you are. other than taking damage/not taking damage..

There are a handful of mobs (I'm sure you're not talking about them because I can count them one hand) who have issues with the hit box and blocking - meaning they bypass your block from dead on. This sounds like you're having some personal issues I hate to say. Please do not take that has a way of demeaning you. It just sounds like you need to take some time with blocking (or you're having some lag issues central to you).

If u are saying that when u press ur block and ur toon just stay there looking at the mob and basically saying to him come at me bro yeah it has happen to me and it blows , how to fix it still don't know when they are gonna fix it no idea.

Yes there is a problem OP. I have had several conversations with several GM's and it appears they are aware of the problem, as well as looking for a solution. I know it sucks, but I'm taking this time that I'm practically useless in instances/BAMS to explore the world :)

nono, you could well be right. It could be my oceanic ping, but it seems to happen only 10% of the time (though every time it DOES happen i freak out and end up blocking,then not blocking, then blocking again :P)
Though i dont think its a lack of skill, i press the button and sometimes nothing happens (then try pressing harder as though that'll fix it somehow!)

Apparently there's some discussion that there is some lag since the last patch. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I have yet to run into it (I still get the dungeon lag issue sometimes though). So this may also be a factor. I've learned when I feel like I'm having issues timing my blocks to just sit in block more of the time until I get back into a rhythm (talking about fighting BAMs as I basically never block when solo'ing).

I haven't played in the last couple days so not sure if the patch might have done something, but I haven't had any major issues. Occasionally I get a little trigger happy and try to re-block too quickly after blocking and deactivating (there is a 1 sec CD remmeber), but I just hit the key again and it's fine.

actually getting this ALOT now.

ill be holding block, blocking things. then suddenly im not blocking anymore...

I've been playing this lancer for about two weeks now and it's only been the last couple of nights that blocking seems different.

On one hand, I'm relieved that isn't just me and am really glad you posted this. On the other hand, that sucks that blocking is being funky and unresponsive.
