Last I checked, Tera is still Tera...

I think people need to stop and think about what makes Tera Tera:

-It's not BoE blues dropping from dungeons.

-It's not engines of mischief.

-It's not personal stores.

-It's not any other trivial things being changed in the game.

IT'S THE AMAZINGLY FUN ACTION-BASED COMBAT SYSTEM!!!!

How does this keep eluding people?

The change to BoP is a triple dose of WIN:
-It ensures that BoP blues drop more often from BAMs.
-It means crafted blues and oranges just became 1,000X more valuable because people will need them for enchanting, meaning, HOLY CRAP, crafting just became useful!
-It means RMT will be a dramatically less attractive option, meaning we'll see fewer bots and goldseller spam.

No, you won't get to trade BoE blues for other BoP blues, but an increased drop rate AND an increase in the item quality of BoPs means doing the hardest content will reward you with the best gear, and how is that a bad thing?

I find it ironic that people complain Tera is being "westernized" and made "like ezmode WoW" when BoP gear ensures that only players who brave the challenges reap the rewards, as opposed to casual players farming up cash and buying the best gear in the game from the AH.

Engines of mischief and Pet stores. These were neat, but why would ANYONE consider these a big enough deal that they'd make or break Tera for you? If you're not playing the game for the combat system or the political system, why are you playing at all?!

Lastly, no, Tera is not becoming WoW. I can't believe how often people say this. Tera will not become WoW until they add tab targeting (which is never going to happen). BoP is a good system, one that benefits the playerbase in MANY ways, and for those who say that WoW's crafting is worthless because of BoP, guess what? WoW doesn't have an enchanting system that encourages EVERY player to buy blue/orange items just to use them in enchanting.

To conclude, the sky isn't falling, the game is going to be amazing, and Tera is, rest assured, STILL Tera.

If only the DERPs complaining about this crap would HERP A DERP back to wow until their GW2 comes out and makes a giant FLOPPING SOUND.

There's some moron opening tickets and starting threads about cancelling his preorder to protest.
But the dumb [filtered] says he's still going to buy it later in the same thread.
What does that tell the devs? That he's too stupid to do normal every day stuff, and going to play anyway - so ignore him.

Unfortunately, action combat is only going to hold some players interest for so long. Then it comes down to how well the rest of the game stands up. The entire package has to be good, not just a single gimmick. We can point to SWToR as an example of what happens to one trick ponies.

I love the action combat in Vindictus. It was the sole reason I started playing that game. But I eventually stopped playing it because all the little things that bothered me eventually outweighed the amount of fun I was having with the combat. The combat is still fun, but there are too many other elements that aren't.

So, I stopped playing it. The same thing can easily happen with Tera regardless of its main feature.

Well, I'm just say to the above.

The gimmick in SWToR improved how you watched the game, IE not imputing much into the game.

Tera changes how you play.

Where are you getting the whole "BoP = Increase drop rates" from? Source? or you talking out of your [filtered]?

Action combat, great graphics and art style, political system, soon to be cross server invasion PvP that actually has more purpose than the WvW PvP in GW 2 does, Nexus's (rifts), guild housing, a interserver city full of PvP and PvE content, a flying fortress for people to control connected to the political system. Considering the direction all the new content for the game is going in (innovative features and sandbox content) I'd say the game has a very bright future and definately isn't a "one trick pony" like SWTOR.

^_______________^ Yay someone who tries to use common sense like me, honestly was finding it amazing how people just love to ignore stuff like this. Even when it makes complete sense, however thats just cause, they really just wanna QQ for the sake of QQ and do not stop to think about stuff like this.

+9 to you eheh

PS: Towards HTakara82, by Dev's removing Engines it in such increases chances for Blues/Golds to drop by adding room for them. (Also i feel there was an actual quote from dev's on chances being raised in general on Blue/Gold loot from BAM's but i cannot find it atm so sorrys, i'll do more looking for it)
