Is there any logical reason why our character starts at lvl 20, then drops to level 1 after the first zone? There doesn't really seem to be anything that explains the sudden drop. I mean, obviously we would start at level 1, but seems rather disconnecting to start at lvl 20.
Lore?
It's just like playing God of War 2. They give you a taste of whats to come so you can decide if you want to invest your time to get to that level. Personally, I think it's a great idea.
Players can now explore the prologue tutorial of the Island of Dawn. Players will enter the game as a level 20 character of the same class and fight alongside the members of the first expedition. Players will receive quests to execute and explore the combat system. Upon completion, they'll land on the Island of Dawn as their proper level 1 character.
Prolouge.
Like in maplestory if you play Mercedes, you play her as Maxed level 200 for awhile until you fall asleep in your ice cocoon & awaken at level 1 to find that your powers have been drained, ohnoes!
You're supposed to be a 'different' person that your character.
Ya, you look the exact same... but you're a different person.
The ending cinema is you are dead. The person at level 20 who is your identical twin died. Now you, the level 1 you, is going to "investigate" the island and try to find the Elleon guy.
Really wish we could skip the new intro. Zzzzz.
You can skip the new intro, actually. If you go back out to the character screen it gives you the option.
Personally I kind of like it -- I'm not going to play it again for an alt that I know I want to roll, but for classes that I haven't played I like being able to test the skills at 20 to see if I like it rather than getting all the way there and then finding that I don't.
