It's been said, but just echoing it: You start the prologue as a member of the first expedition. Yes, it's your character, but from a story standpoint it is not. You die, and YOUR character starts his journey asa recruit being sent to the island to investigate what happened to the first expedition.

So while those of you who are saying that you were a different person, died, and came back as a new person, I don't think that's true because of people on the island acknowledging your contribution to the First Expedition.

So ... it IS odd that they didn't explain how we went from being level 20 back down to level 1. Were we severely wounded and got selective amnesia - thus forgetting most of our fighting skills? Lore-wise (for the RP'ers ... not that I'm an RP'er) it would be a nice thing to explain. ;O)

Correct, it is not explained what happened to you. And yes you are the same person from the initial assault that got wiped out.

If you read the quests on the Island of Dawn, a few will say something like,

"You were with Leander on the assault of the Island"
"You actually fought alongside Leander?"

..or whatever his name is.

His name is Elleon. ;O)

When the prologue was announced , but before the actuallydetails were given, i said in a thread that there were 3 possible ways they would impliment this.

1) U start of in the prologue as level 1 and u advance through it as normal.
2) u start of at higher level, go through the story and die/injured and come back at level1 on IoD (simular to MH series begining cutscense)
3) U start of at higher level playing a character from Tera lore, finish the story and then start your character at level 1.

Now i didnt know which they would choose but i just knew that if they chose options 2 or 3 , there would inevitable be some scrub who moans that they are going form level X to level 1.

And here it is ..the all to expected thread with people moaning about going from level 20 to level 1.

I really am ashammed to be known as a gamer when the gaming community has degraded so much in the past 12 or so years to point where people cant be bothered to play the game as it is without moaning about somthing that can be got through so quikly and easily.

STFU and play the game as it is, or go the fk away -.- this game needs making harder, and less convieniant.. not easier and more convientiant for scrubs like you -.-

i just wish the hotkey tray wasn't locked in the prologue so i can move things around a bit but no biggie i guess

1. Remove ALL levels from the prologue. Don't even show it anywhere.

2. Allow players to gradually learn skills after killing monsters in every section: across the bridge with the skeletons/zombies, the area with the reapers, and before the BAM fight when you meet up with the others.

Give the users a chance to actually press K and place the skills onto the skill bars.

3. Actually give the second BAM an AoE attack that wipes your group out. The fading to black screen can make it confusing for players.

4. Add a quick cutscene. Show that Elleon is missing with the second BAM. Have medics rush to your group to start "healing" you and the others.

This could show that your character didn't actually die.

Sorry, Valadhiel, but as the OP I'm hardly complaining about going from lvl 20 to lvl 1 (ie WTF! I have to level up 19 more times to get back to where I started!!!1!). It's the inexplicable way they did it. I don't care about the level drop, it's the one day I'm grown up, and the next day I'm a adolescent for no clear reason. Your just saying, pft, who cares why, just grow up again.
