Hi guys! I am a level 58 Archer (super close to 59) on a PvP server with a alt on the RP server, and for the last week I find myself only logging on for some RP because my main is boring to me at my level.
Instead of whining and demanding the game be what I want, I'd like to hear what you guys have done at 50+ to keep things interesting.
In every MMO I've played I have had some sort of PvP outlet that gets me XP (BG's Minigames, Warfronts, you guys know what I am talking about), but in this game there is no such thing.
As much as I love the combat system, it is not enough to keep me playing.
I can't even login anymore, find hub, do random quest, pick [filtered] up on the ground, kill bams, find next hub, do some random quest, pick [filtered] up on the ground, kill some bams, find next hub, do random quest, pick [filtered] up on the ground, kill bams...repeat this 100x times ugh no thanks, this game blow lol

@Eatyochicken, don't forget the instances! Kidding aside they are the thing I enjoy most in this game. But I am glad I am not the only one (As glad as one could be in this spot.) .
@Laecius I did make an alt which I have been on more than my main but aside from it being new and shiny for 20 levels, but at 33 while still enjoyable I find myself RPing more than trying to progress in game.
Most of what I am feeling I believe is lack of competitive PvP. Deathmatches are a good idea, but I have seen them taking place two different times and one of them was on the RP-PvE server.
Yea, they are some instances, but 1 hours queue for them..I dunno im lvl 42 right now and I just don't seem to have fun anymore, questing is getting horribly boring :S

Welcome to MMOs.
It seems you're playing the wrong game. I would suggest a first person shooter but in effect it's the same thing. Find mob kill reload find mob kill get killed respawn find mob kill. Maybe an RTS.. Build building harvest resource build unit harvest resource build building harverst resources. Naw that doesn't sound fun either. Obviously an RPG would just end up being the same kill mob loot corpse kill net mob loot corpse level up. Maybe a racing game? Accelerate turn left accelerate slow down turn right turn left accelerate slow down... guess not umm.... Hell now that I think about it I cannot really think of a game that might appeal to you.

First off what a fitting name. Second alot of MMO's give you options to level. Not to compare it to the big monster of MMO's, we will use Rift for an example.
So I do my starter area and see the world for the first time. I see a quest hub to my left but to my right is a rift I can do either. I pick to chase rifts for an hour, then a world event happens and I am running across the zone to help. and now I am level ten I could keep doing what I have been but why? I can now PvP in warfronts and level that way. and at level 20 I can do instances.
AoC is the same minus the Rifts. WaR same just change names from Rifts to public quests. My point is we have become used to having options in MMO's this feels a step backwards being forced to quest.
I got a little bored around lvl 53, so I didnt play for two days and went out and did other things. Came back, and lvling was extremely fun again. I suggest taking a break for a bit.
