Ok, after playing my first cbt, this game is great...but the game is sort off half-action mmorpg. IMO.

They should let you lock-on the target. I know there is lock-on skills but regular Lock-on for melee attacks. that you can attack while moving and the camera only focus on that target.

If this would make the game easier, then increase the monster's speed at higher levels so that the beginning players can get the hang of it.

if any of the things I just spoke off is possible let me know how to do it, lol, everything is a learning process.

Wait...locking onto a target sounds a lot like tab-targeting. Wouldn't this make it further away form an action mmorpg?

The thing i am not completely used to is the arrow keys (wasd) and the way they work compared to to other games.

In this game you character cannot walk backward but instead will run in the direction you point and your camera will stay put. In other games you can back up while attacking and and continue facing your target. You can also circle strafe a target while continually looking at them, you cannot here. It makes it difficult to target someone and be mobile when its forcing me to face the direction I move in.

Correct me if im doing something wrong, but to me if they changed this it would make combat so much better.

Disagree with this, would take away from immersion and a portion of the action feel of the game, part of the skill in tera is being able to land attacks sometimes by leading the target a bit, this could not be acheived if you could lock on to the target.
What I would like though is maybe a way to lock a targets health bar so you can see what health/mana/level they are on.
Had an interesting and very short fight during cbt3, a friend and I were leveling together lancer/mystic we were about level 15 we see a red name (erin who I believe got quite a high infamy that weekend) and attempted to jump him, anyway we manage to survive a few seconds before we realized he was lvl 32 and got horribly crushed (when he dropped the lancer to 50% health in 1 hit should have been the clue).

tab picks your target but the TargetCircle or whatever, moves with you as you move...

also locking on a target will like Antalicus wants make the character move back facing the character. instead of turning completely around.

I see your point, and your right about the leading and landing your attacks, but this is just to add another option. There are certain situation that you can use lock-free style and lock-on style. IMO

The whole purpose of this game is to get away from no skill lock on mmos. It's bad enough that there's lock on skills (which there really shouldn't be other than healing and buffs). Keep lock on garbage out of here.

Like Z-Targetting from Zelda: Ocarina of Time?

Yeah.. no... dpsing should never have any lock on abilities, l2 aim/anticipate. Healers I can agree with, some people will just move to be douchebags, etc.

My 2 cents :-P
