Loved the Prologue....

...I get that new people would be confused but most people that play this game have been following it and will appreciate this

Is the Prologue supposed to be a tutorial or a gift to the fans?

I think all indicators of level should be removed from the Prologue. They serve absolutely no purpose there (why do we need to know we and everything else in the Prologue zone is level 20?) and it seems to only be leaving players confused.

I also think the number of abilities we have access to in the Prologue should be cut down, perhaps to whatever we have at level 10 (or 12 if that's when we get the Retaliate skill). Some people in this thread are all "LOL lrn2read skill boxes". Meanwhile, when the first closed beta tests started months ago, all you saw were new players spamming their right and left mouse click abilities (the only two you have!), spending several minutes getting a feel for just those two moves upon first arriving via pegasus at the Island of Dawn.

Point is, people that have played Tera for a while now have forgotten what it's like to be brand new. Also, some character skills are more complicated than others. Several character skills can't even be tested out of combat because they require mana to use and some characters (like the Slayer and Berserker) generally have zero mana outside of combat.

There are also too many generic NPCs present for the final fight, in my opinion. I also think the wave of adds in the BAM fight is unnecessary and confusing to new players. Lastly, the final BAM in the Prologue needs to actually take out the player's character, even if it's invisible damage over time coming from nowhere. Because it is completely possible to be at nearly full health when everything suddenly fades to black, and that's just going to confuse players and leave them scratching their heads wondering what happened. People want a clear reason for essentially losing.

Well,, you make some good points,,,maybe they need a disclaimer at the beginning saying what's going on

Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible first impression of a game, would scare the hell out of anyone who isn't a veteran player.

While I don't share the same enthusiasm, I am inclined to agree that the learning curve is pretty vicious. I spent the first 10 min trying to figure out how to get my camera view pointed in the right direction heaven forbid if I actually had to fight somthing. Once I reached the Island though, and I discovered chaining abilities. It's become quite enjoyable now.

its piss me off to see so many people not able to keep their bad opinion, they have not learned " That no one gave a [filtered] about their bad opinions " If i go see Celine Dion at Vegas she do over "I dont know", #4000000 show by year, sometime 3 concert in 1 days.

Do you think she complain at each show that she is tired, and she is not happy .
Apply that in your life and everyone will be happy.

If you go at Disney world, are they gonna gave you a bad impression, no they wont! Even if they do the same [filtered] everyday.

When you write on a forum, write something worth to be read and be positive!

@Chubbywan Dude my respect you bring positif feedback, we want that kind of post! If you took time to write it than it because it was a lovely prologue and you loved it:) , And I agree ! like @vole say and@Chubbywan , we all feel the same for those reasons.

And those who are not able to read pop windows tutorial or who get lost my answer is :

irretrievable / irrecoverable : you guys are sheep that even jesus won't be able to help, sorry.

In terms of what it's supposed to do, it fails miserably. It overwhelms the player with abilities that they have no idea how to use(nor does the prologue bother to mention half of the skills you need to use to survive the prologue).

No big deal for the hardcore gamer, but the casual gamer will get overwhelmed before they even start really playing the game.

Thanks OP finally a positive attitude sheesh. As many have stated its a prologue its not suppose to teach you fighting but the game and things to come.

Besides, you all had plenty of opportunities to test out your skills before you went into battle, you know the big room before you started climbing the ladders.....

I like the idea of the new prologue, mostly because it gives me a better idea of how skills look for all classes, especially for casters (the most important thing to me). The prologue definitely needs some fine-tuning, but it's a step in the right direction.
