Just curious, what would you guys think of an MMA or Monk type class in Tera? I've honestly been hoping for an MMA class for the longest time, especially with Bas Rutten being the spokesperson for this game on those advertisement videos.

Yes, the Bas thing made me do a double-take. I'd be all for a pugilist, assuming they use fist weapons.

I can just see it now, trying to put a sleeper lock on a Hydrath or a Molten Teralith. Joint strikes on satellite BAMs. Groin kicks ... on Kaprima (who's female).

I won't lie, Bas Rutten's Tera advertisement videos were a factor in me purchasing this game. I was looking into this game beforehand due to the combat but I have to say he solidified my decision to ultimately purchase a copy of Tera. I think the least Enmasse/Bluehole can do is honor him by making some sort of martial artist based class whether it be a monk or even better, an actual MMA fighter class where you can take monsters to the ground and pound on them there. I really want to somehow push for an MMA class to be released someday.

I don't know about MMA (I mean it's a sport) but I do believe a monk/fighter/puglist class should be added in. As a MMA fan, I find it a slap in the face that they have Bas Rutten advertising but they don't have a hand to hand class.

It would seem to fit in with the rest of the game imo. I do think without grapple moves however, that people would complain.

Also, it sounds like it would be a leather armor class, and I know my slayer would care much for another learther armor class :p

Yea, for that reason I said an MMA class more so than just a monk class so there could be grappling moves and submissions and such. But yea, it probably would be a leather armor class. I wonder if there would be a good way to fit it into the game though.

You're an MMA fan but you can't differentiate between the arts and the sport and yet you support a fighter class? :S
