making crystals undestructable will make them more important, and not just a stack of items to have in case of death. i mean seriously, what does exactly speak against it? do you people like to run an instances just to retrieve a rare crystal every time you die? IMO, it's annoying and unnecessary. an item that allows you to customize your character should be more important and not get destroyed after death.
this is why i really hope that EME will do this!
No
Crystals promote world PVP
Crystals promote Gold Sink and is currently one of the only gold syncs besides enchanting
Crystals promote World farming
Crystals will eventually get buffs that protect your crystal from breaking one time. This is all you need.
Or not! Im sorry you dont want to have to work for your good stuff. QQ more
They should keep crystals breakable.
It makes them more important because people will try harder not to die if there is a consequence.
IMO it is necessary and vital to the games survival.
That is why I hope EME keeps it the same.
i like the risk thing, but when you die because of someone else's fault and lose your best crystal it sucks :(.
i'd rather see some item that makes the crystals -tougher-. still a gold sink, but giving the player the ability to shift the cost if they get a crystal they really enjoy. as is though im fine with the current system
If crystals were unbreakable...
I would put a few on my character, and never, ever worry about them again.
That doesn't give off the 'importance' vibe, to me.
Death penalties are important. They must take some form. In TerA, this is the shape that penalty takes. Deal or move on.
If it's a gold sink and that's all, why not just give you the ability to buy an item that lasts an hour or two and makes it so you lose no crystals on death? Make it expensive, too, and then you can pick and match. And it doesn't change the game drastically or anything, and still has the effect of losing crystals on death without spending the gold.
