I am just having a hard time doing it to say the least. Anyone have any pointers on how to make a little gold? I am lvl 24 now.

I gather everything in sight and I have tried to sell all the useless crap I pick up. I have also been crafting but it is slow and darn expensive. (not complaining just trying to figure out how to get a little jingle in my pocket . Thanks!)

I myself, got to level 32, then farmed SM and sold everything I was getting. either to lower level players or just the merchants.

I have tried to sell things on the AH/Broker but no one seems to want any of it even when I undercut like crazy. Even selling in area is tough for some reason. Maybe it is just Beta that is making people not wanna buy things IDK lol

Well I'm gonna say the majority of players have pre-ordered so everything they do now, will get carried over to release. I sold quite a bit on AH. Which reminds me. Maybe I will just farm materials and sell those. There are a lot of lazy people out there lol. Cha ching!

Yeah maybe I will just farm up some higher lvl mats. I had over 500 of the lowest ore type and could not give the stuff away haha. Well I will lurk about to see if anyone has any ideas.

Well actually trying to make gold right now is probably pretty useless. I'd just level up and hoard all the mats you get until the game goes live. You also make quite a bit more money in the upper 20's than you do where you are right now. I've made like 30g just from quest since level 25. And that doesn't count the huge amount of ore and ingots I've stashed since level 1.

So yeah, just level up, extract and gather everything, and farm until servers go down, stash it in your bank until level and sell everything a little after that and make a killing. This is what I'm doing anyway.

Quest and sell everything to the vendor (unless it is blue or better). The quest rewards and gold drops really ramp up as you approach 30, so keep leveling.

Only use the most basic recipe to level your professions, for Weaponsmithing I just combined each level of ore to get myself to 150. It looks like that will continue up until the high levels of the profession.

Gather because the buffs are awesome and you will need a stockpile of mats for your professions. But I don't think there will be a high priced mat market like in most games, mainly because nodes are plentiful, gathering is easy, and those stacking buffs make leveling faster, so the supply far outstrips the demand. People will need crafters at some point though.

Finally, don't spend any gold on gear and don't enchant. Gear drops and quest rewards are great, they just get better on your way to 32 and above. Even if you get a sweet gold weapon drom from SM, don't enchant it, you will replace it in 5 levels. Not worth the 10-20 gold it will take to get it to plus 6 (unless you are lucky).

The best way to make money is by leveling. Forget enchanting and forget crafting for now.
