My thoughts on free +12 items.

2) Completely revamp the system. If you guys want free/easy enchanting at least let other players benefit from it. How?

NPC's could have max enchanting caps of +6. Anything +6 and beyond would need to be done by someone who has been working on the Blacksmith profession.

I'm not sure the crafting levels but we could say something like

150-200 = +6-9
Max = +10-12

Make it required materials in order to perform the enchanting via a player Blacksmith. Not just "ordinary rock of the plain" but something like "rare rock of the infrequently dropped item"

Each bracket could have it's own stones required to perform the enchant.

This would do the following:

1) allow you to maintain the lack of decreasing levels
2) keep your hardcore players happy by not giving everyone and their grandma ezmode max level gear
3) help the community as players could charge fees to other players for their blacksmithing services.
4) give yet another useful meaning to crafting

It may require additional coding; but hey it would be worth it for us as the community and you guys as a business. Meeting somewhere in the middle, instead of straight up catering to the whiners ;_;

In order to assist the inept people who are incapable of reading, I have gone ahead and modified my original post. Hopefully with this change, players will be able to comprehend a possible suggestion, instead of just assuming what's in the body of the text.

Wait, when did we start getting free items?

Next you're going to say an RDF gives you free gear.

Also, why don't you like this new change? It is similar to gambling.

I don't like the change as it gives everyone access to easy +12 items. +12 items should feel like a great accomplishment, whether it be random or not.

If everyone has +12 items, there is no sense of achievement when you finally get your Epic Sword of Awesomeness to +12.

It's just like eh, i hope I get another sword and I'll just easily +12 that one too!

Why should +12 be an accomplishment? Also, you have to get the BiS item first, which is only from hardmodes.

Don't you think completing hardmode bosses is just a smiggen more difficult than an RNG enchanting system?

And if you wanna be rare, then don't enchant your items. Everyone was already trying to get +12. Why don't you be rare and just stay at +0?

Problem solved.

But you're right. It's only going to cost you thousands of gold to get to +12. Totally free.

Why should getting an item to it's best possible level NOT be an accomplishment?

What kind of question was that?

Also, I'm pretty sure you only read half of my post, so I won't respond to you any longer until you actually read the full post and understand what I'm saying.

Right now, it feels like I am talking to a child with ADD who can't read the first line in a sentence.

Climbing Mount Everest.
Winning the Lottery.

One of these is considered an accomplishment.

Hope you realize there was a blue powder in game which basically did what EME just did? Well that powder had small chance of downgrading an OE, but for the most part, it was THE SAFE way to OE your items.

Clueless people jumped bandwagon and started raging, blaming how bad decision this is. Get your facts before making threads like this.

Exactly what this guy said.

How is being luckier than your peers an "accomplishment"? Plenty of Ktera players put just as much time and effort in as the players who have +12 but have been bent over by RNG. That's like winning a free car then driving it around claiming your the greatest ever. All you've accomplished is having a computer somewhere spit out a good number for you, congrats.
